Today started off like any other ordinary day. My alarm went off at 7:00am so I wouldn't be late to school. While in the mist of slowing pulling myself together for school , I day dreamed about the year , I would finally get to leave this town that never truly got me, I still loved California just not this place.
I went to my closet and threw on my favorite thrasher hoodie, my ripped deniem jeans, and my bright yellow vans. I went over to the sink and convered my toothbrush in paste, when I heard a buzz from my phone lying on bed. I stuck the toothbrush in my mouth and shuffled over to my phone .
When I opened up the message, I saw a Paragrah  from my best friend Nyla, about how she though it was a life or death matter for me to attend the winter formal, I have been giving out on her for a month, Nyla wouldn't accept the fact that I was socially awkard and I didn't want to go. I went back into the bathroom and spit out my toothpaste.
I went to go grab my phone and sighed heavily there was no way I was going to win this one.
I  grabbed my skateboard from it's position leaning on the wall, I did a once over my room again, to be sure I didn't leave anything behind, and I shut off my light, then shut my door.
I  walked down the stairs to be greeted with an unfamilar smell. " Family breakfast."
"Mom?" I spoke in a questioning voice. " why are you making breakfast , you never cook." I spoke earning a roll eye from her.
" Well," she spoke in a thick southern accent, being that she moved to California from Georgia. " I felt that,  this was way over due," she finished with a tight smile on her lips.
The rest of my family started to trinkle in, sitting themselves down in our usually spots.
My mother finally finished the final touches on her homemade buttermilk Pancakes, one of the only things my mother could cook.
My sister , Adaline helped my mother carry plates in and out the kitchen, when everything was situated on the table, and everyone was comfortable, we all started to dig in, with the remaining of time we had left before we had to take off for school.
my mother cleared her throat, and eyed me and my sister warily. " Mom whats wrong?" Adaline questioned.
" I uh have some news." she said but avoided the stares from us.
" well go on," Joe my stepfather beemed
My mother sighed again, you could that whatever was on her mind, she wasn't the slightest bit happy about it.
" we're moving to west virgina next week," she breathed out. I blinked rapidly. was she being for real I questioned myself?
By the time I snapped back into reality, Adaline was already missing from the scence. My moms worried glanced at me, them immediately brought them to the floor.
I stood up, I didn't trust myself, but I couldn't stay here not after that. I love this place, nobody has ever treated me wrong, I have a best friend who loves and supports me. this was unfair to me .
I made my way out the door, I felt sick, but that didn't help the fact that I had to be at school in 10 minutes.
I placed the skateboard that was under my arm on the sidewalk. Trying my best not to crash

When I walked through the yellow stained walls, I started to appreciate this place a little better.
I paced my self over to the frey coated lockers, that didn't nearly have enough space for one person.
My mind was elseware, when a red headed bombshell came barreling down the hallway towards me.
"hey ," she bounced. I adverted my eyes, I couldn't keep the truth from her, she had that effect on me.
Even though Nyla and I would be a great couple, there was just one problem, Nyla played for the same team as I, but I was the only one too know.
Nyla was in a great mood today, I could tell by the way she acted. I on the other hand was not.
Nyla picked up on my sour mood, instead of leaving it alone she decided to question me.
"who stole your thong today," she teased. " Nobody, and its nothing," I snapped.
" Fine don't tell me, but you can't talk to me until you do," she hummed.
Anger flared in me and next thing I know it spilled. Everything.
Nyla froze, as she quickly grew a ghostly pale, she looked at me and laughed " You can't kid me like, I thought you were being serious," she grinned.
"  But I-," I immediately got cut off by Nyla " So winter formal." she wiggled her eyebrows.
" Yeah, I give all go." not wanting our
Last memory to be negative.
Nyla squealed " So what finally made you cave, was it that you wanted to spend your time with your beautiful best friend," she winked.
" Yeah you could say something like that." I sadly smilled
