| Anthony's POV |
After we had supper (might I add it was amazing, I can get used to that), Mark dragged us all out to the big open field that we all happened to stumble upon before registering.
"Alright guys," Mark started, clapping his hands together. "I know this may seem lame and stuff, but we're gonna play a game as a whole camp."
Groans and mumbles filled the air, with mine included.
"Do we really have too? I mean- we're all in that age where we shouldn't be running for fun. The only time we should run would have to be when it's contemporary." Silas whined, using his arms a lot while talking.
"Well, maybe we can arrange for actual predators to chase you so you can run." Mark laughed, ruffling Si's black curly hair.
"Dude. Not the curls." Si grumbled, rearranging his mop of hair.
"Anyways guys, we have to do it. So here's name tags - just to clarify you aren't the only ones doing it - and make sure to pay attention when they're giving instructions." Mark smiled, handing everyone a sticker with their name on it.
Ian stuck his on his forehead, just to be covered with his hair. I gave him a 'dude-are-you-fucking-kidding' look which made him giggle.
"I'd rather not be known." He smiled and placed my sticker on my right shoulder. "Now you want to be known." He smiled and looked to the middle of the field, where everyone was gathering.
"Who said I wanted to be known?" I whispered to him softly.
"Me. You just seem to be one who socializes a lot, hangs out with someone then move on to the next." Ian sighed, bringing his attention to the middle again.
"Alright guys, rules are you get tagged by the opposite gender you have to create a conversation with them. Well anyone for that matter, you don't want to talk then just sit on the sides." Some counsellor shouted to everyone.
We began walking to the middle, with Ian crossing his arms.
"I can promise you I'm not, Ian." I mumbled to him, pulling his arms apart.
"I can't wait to see." He smirked and got in a running position.
"Hey, wanna group up? I can't really take a large amount of people like this." I swallowed, the thought finally settling into my mind.
"Of course." He smiled brightly.
"Alright, go!" The counsellors shouted, making everyone sprint to the sides.
Ian and myself ran straight through the middle, suddenly getting tagged by a tall, brunette girl.
"Hi, I'm Des. Short for Destiny."
"I'm Ian, short for Ian." He introduced himself, smiling widely at the girl.
"This is Anthony. He's a bit shy."
Destiny smiled nicely, tilting her head to the side.
"Are you guys a thing?" She smiled knowingly.
"No!" Ian chuckled, nervously? "I dot know why people keep assuming that..."
"It just seems like you two have known each other forever. I don't know."
A hard blush coated my already naturally red cheeks.
"We-We've honestly only met today." I stuttered out, playing with my fingers and looking to the ground.
"Awh, well if you guys ever need anything, I'm in cabin 7. Don't hesitate to hang out, you two seem pretty awesome." Destiny smiled, tucking her brown hair behind her ear.
"Okay! We're in 4." Ian grinned.
"Okay, I'm gonna go find someone to embarrass, nice talking to you!"
Destiny ran away, chasing after a very sweaty counsellor.
"That wasn't extremely bad, was it?" Ian smirked, wrapping an arm around my waist, making my face suddenly become beet red.
"Thanks for talking to her." I weakly smiled and ducked my head.
"Dude, no problem." He smiled and released the arm around my waist.
"Should we go catch one more person then sneak into our cabin?" Ian asked, swinging his arms back and forth.
I just grinned back in reply and ran towards a shy looking girl.
"Hi! I'm Anthony." I chirped, suddenly gaining confidence knowing Ian was by my side.
"I'm Ian." He smiled at the girl, who was still looking to the ground.
I looked at her shirt, with the colorful design of some band decorating it, and saw the sticker with the name 'Alisha' on it.
"Hi Alisha!" I smiled, bumping shoulders with Ian.
"H-hey." She murmured quietly, making me giggle.
"How're you?" Ian asked, sitting down with her, with me quickly following.
"I-I'm okay I guess. Just a little scared." She whispered and traced the sole of her shoe.
"Nothing to be scared of. We don't bite, at least I don't." Ian smiled and eyed me questionably.
"I don't bite, I promise." I giggled and looked at Alisha, noting her dyed blue hair.
"I really like the color of your hair." I smiled.
"T-thanks."
"Well, Ian and I are going to go ditch, wanna come?"
"Nah I'm good, I don't wanna get into trouble the first day." She smiled weakly and pulled a small flower from the ground and plucking the petals off.
"Have a good day sweetie." I grinned and stood up, with Ian following. Damn, I can see how people expect us to he together.
"To the cabin or to the woods?" Ian asked, walking off the field with a satisfied sigh.
"Cabin. We have to prepare for the bonfire."
"There's a bonfire?" Ian asked curiously, looking directly at me.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure."
"Well I have a sweater that's perfect for it!" Ian squealed and ran towards the cabin.
