| Ian's POV |

To say I was nervous was an exaggeration - I was extremely nervous. As my mom pulled into the camp site (late.. again) I dashed to my cabin to see one top bunk left. And just as conveniently, a guy, might I add just the one guy, was sitting underneath the free bunk.

I sighed heavily, causing the one guy to look at him with worry on his face.

"S-sorry, I know I'm supposed to be outside- I just- need to put a few more things away." The guy gushed, facing turning red as he was embarrassing himself.

"No, no. Don't worry. I wont beat your ass because you aren't out yet." I gave a soft, annoying, snort. "I literally just got here - and it seems I'm your bed partner." My eyes shot open as I thought through what I just said. "I-I mean not like that I just-"

The guy gave a small giggle and grinned at me. "No, I got what you mean. Wanna drop your shit off here and just head out? It seems you're the only guy who doesn't seem insane here."

I smiled and dropped my bags by the foot of my new bunk bed. "Love to, and who knows. Maybe I'm a psycho in disguise."

The guy chuckled and made his way to the door, stopping to make sure I was following him. As he figured I was, he pushed the door open and sighed as he saw their cabin in a big circle.

"Trust me, it's not as bad as it seems." I smiled at the guy, finding him easy to talk too.

"Glad you could finally join us Anthony. And welcome back Ian." Mark smiled at us as we sat down to join our fellow cabin mates.

"Okay, as you all know, I'm Mark. I'm gonna be your cabin leader. So you may bow down and kiss my feet now." Mark gave a sarcastic look while everyone stared at him curiously.

Mark deeply sighed. "Anyways, how about we all introduce ourselves? Considering we're going to be spending all summer together may as well get all buddy-buddy."

Everyone sighed as Mark stuck a finger out and twirled around the circle a bit before landing on my new partner in crime.

"You. Go first. Tell us a bit about yourself." Mark smugly smiled, plopping down in the middle of the circle we created.

"W-well my name's Anthony. I'm currently 16, my favorite color is green, I really like rock bands, and I enjoy watching and playing Pokemon." He stammered, playing with his fingers while speaking.

A couple people snickered as he mentioned Pokemon, making a defensive side of me wanting to yell at them. Mark then pointed at me and smiled. As he mouthed the words, "Go.", I knew I was gonna fuck up.

"I'm Ian. I'm 16 also, I like the color blue, I'm afraid of bugs, I spend to much time reading, and I like Pokemon too."

A soft pat on my back made me look at Anthony with a grin.

"Alright, you go." Mark pointed to the guy left of me, his green eyes darting around the circle.

"I'm Lukas, I'm 15, so shush. I really like laying around playing video games all day, and I'd rather be sleeping right now." He grinned and ran his hand through his sandy hair, god what a loser.

"My name's Silas, but you can call me Si. I'm 17, I tend to be a grammar nazi at times, and I've been told I'm a neat freak. So don't be scared if I flip out at you guys when you have your shit lying around."

"I'm Owen. I'm 16, boring as fu-frick, I'm a so called 'bookworm', and I despise stereotypical boys."

And that was that. 5 guys in our cabin including Anthony and myself. To be perfectly honest, I could do well with these pack of guys. We have our bookworm, we have the lazy ass, we have the obsessive guy, and then we have the two dorks. Sounds like a good summer to me.

Anthony nudged my side and gave me a smile.

"Hey, I heard that there's a lot of partnering up in stuff, so.. Would you want to declare with me to be partners for the whole summer?" His brown eyes shone in the sun, making me smile at his childlikeness.

"Sure. Partners for the whole summer."

He stood out his right hand, and I awkwardly placed my hand into his and shook it firmly.

"Awesome."

"Alright, in about 10 minutes you guys need to meet at the mess hall for lunch." Mark announced and closed the door behind him.

Everyone just sat there in silence before Si spoke up.

"So how did you all manage to end up in this version of hell?"

We all laughed before Lukas began talking.

"My mom wanted me out of the house. I bet she's fucking glad my Xbox isn't in use." He pouted and crossed his arms playfully.

"My Dad's were a bit tired of me always ranting about how guys don't have enough recognition that they're not as stereotypical as everyone thinks." Owen stated, making everyone gawk at what he said.

"Wait, you have two dads?" Si questioned, leaning on his arms.

"Yeah, oh god. You guys aren't homophobic are you? Cause that would make things ten times worse."

Everyone piped up shouting 'no!'s and 'no way!'. Owen's face relaxed as everyone shouted words of disagreement.

"Good. May as well put it out there, I'm openly bi. Not scaring you or anything, just don't flip out if you see me making out with a guy or girl from camp or something." He chuckled, making everyone laugh along with him.

"I'm changing topics before Mark gets in, but I came here because no one wanted me at home." Si spoke up and shoved his hands over his face in disappointment.

"I really doubt that Si. I don't know how people could not want you." I spoke, earning everyone's attention on me.

Si shrugged and peeked out of his hands. "Why are you here, Ian?"

I sighed and began to fiddle with my hair. "My mum's a bit worried I won't have any social life this summer, considering we just moved here a couple weeks ago."

Everyone sympathetically nodded and Anthony flashed me a sad smile.

"What about you, partner in crime?"I chuckled and looked down at Anthony.

"Wait, are you two together or some shit? I'm not offending if you are, you're just very.. friendly." Lukas questioned and smiled.

"No, no! Just met up today for the first time." I giggled and blushed.

Anthony smiled and ducked his head in embarrassment. "Anyways, I'm here because I'm too much of a sarcastic asshole."

"I doubt that." Si smirked, making Anthony chuckle.

"Trust me, I am." Anthony defended himself and sighed.

"Should we go eat? We've been here for more than ten minutes." Owen announced, making everyone groan.

"Goddammit, I'm really starving." Lukas groaned and rubbed his stomach softly. I just chuckled in response and hopped off the top bunk.

Maybe this summer won't be so bad after all.
