I've been floating in darkness for what seems like forever. All there was, was silence no one was coming for me. I started to cry. "Baby don't cry your safe. We found your soul let us put it back into your body." What? What's going on? I didn't think that anyone could bring me back to life. Maybe I'll have a second chance. "Ow!" My chest began to become tight, I felt a warm sensation on my body. "It's time to
Come back to us."  My muscles started moving again "ahh!"I took my first breath after who knows how long.

"Hello miss. Feeling better now that your alive again?"  I think she was trying to be funny but as my eyes adjusted to the dim lighting of the room I saw her face. She was beautiful yet scary, her smile was evil and her eyes where lifeless. I didn't dare talk. "Fallon stop smothering the girl. Let her come to her senses." The women moved away from my face. "Yes Malcolm." I tried moving my fingers, they were stiff but I had feeling again. I slowly turned my head to the far right corner. I saw massive amounts of weapons. What were their purpose of bringing me back to life. "Wh-who are you?"
"I know this is a shock for you but we will talk about things when you get your strength back. My wife is making you something to eat now." I remember that voice how cold it was to hear.  I tried to sit up. I didn't care how dizzy and faint I was, I just had to keep on moving. I heard a sigh. "Why are children so  eager to just do things on their own. Lay back down or I'll bond you to the table." His voice was angry just like my fathers, my father hated me. He wouldn't even look me in the eyes. He made all adults treat me like I was dirt. I'm scared of my father so hearing a voice like that makes me quiver. I did as he said.  "Ugh... Claire  is supper ready yet?" A soft voice came from my left. "Here my love and this is for you." I turned my head to the voice. A blonde haired women stood on my side. She had ocean blue eyes and pale skin. "What's your name little girl."
"Layla Crown." My voice was back I wasn't used to hearing it. "Please tell me how long I was... I had died for?" The blonde haired women face seemed to glow. It must have been from the light. "We'll miss Crown you died for 5 months. We had to give you some time to think about what you would do different in life and if you would help..."
"Claire!" The mans voice boomed through the room. "Sorry I mean if you would live with us." 5 months. I wonder if a anyone from the children in the town noticed I was gone? I don't know what to do this is still not making much sense.

Nobody talked to me as the blonde women feed me. I was taken into a dinning room, candle lit like the other room. Then I heard a bang. "Malcolm Dare where are you?!" A door slammed and the women dropped the spoon she was feeding me with. "Come with me." I stood up, I was very unstable but the women walked quickly to the door leading back to the other room. "Malcolm!" The voice was louder. I walked into the room and there stood a savage hunter named Demerits Slave. Don't let his name fool you... He hunts people. He has had business with some of the richer people from my town, U.S. Children use to hide in the parks so he wouldn't come to us. What was his business here? "I'm sorry sir but Malcolm is not available right now his niece has come to visit and he is making arrangements for her to stay here."
"Stay out of this Women!" He took a look at me. My legs shook I thought I would pee myself. He walked toward me. "I know you from somewhere." He growled, he grabbed my hair and sniffed it. "You are a valley girl. I hate the valley people, they are greedy and selfish. I should kill them all." I held my breath. "You will not touch her Slave." Malcolm came into the room from out side. He had an axe in his hands. "You dare weld a weapon at me?  After all I have done for you?  Hmm I should have known better then to trust an assassin. You want to die fine." Malcolm laughed, and walked to me. "Here kill him. Your father sent him out to kill you. He sent his hunting dogs after you. Know you get to send your father a message of your own." He handed me the axe. It weighed too much for my body. But I held it up. "Ha this is the vermin that Chet Crown wanted me to destroy. That's no challenge. Fight me Malcolm." Destroy me. He hates me enough to destroy me. I'm his only daughter and he...ahh. My rage is making me stronger. I lifted the axe and swung at Slave one time. I cut his arm because he was faced to Malcolm. He growled at me and then charged at me. I jumped out of the way, he hit the wall. He took out a gun and starting shooting at me. I ran straight for him. If I die again I die because I didn't run from an attacker.  I swung the axe again disconnecting his head from his body. Blood gushed from the cut then I kept chopping him like I was having fun. "That's enough Layla, he's gone." I was breathing heavily, I dropped the axe in the blood. My face was covered, I looked down at the bloody mess then looked at Malcolm. "What have I done?" Malcolm smiled. "You just found your place in this family. Now go wash up and sleep. We have a lot of things to do before we go after Chet."
