I woke to the smell of pork. "Disgusting." I hated the smell, my eldest brother once slaughtered a baby pig right in front of me. I never ate meat again. I felt comfortable, haven't laid in a bed in a year. Blankets felt so warm on my body I didn't want to move. "Ms. Crown are you awake? If you are I drew a bath for you. When your done I'll put clothes on your bed." She didn't open the door, I wonder if she was scared. I slowly got out of bed, I was still in my white beaded dress.
The bathroom was the second door in my room. The water was the perfect temp for my body. I haven't taken a bath in years. I smelled like it too. I took about 10 minutes to bath... For assassins they stay pretty clean with all the bottles they have. Once I got out I found a black peasant top and some workers pants on my bed. They weren't as fancy as my dreads but they will do.I managed to get myself to the kitchen. All three people I met yesterday were there. "Hello Layla how was your bath? You didn't take that long." The man named Malcolm said with a groggy voice. He must have just woke. "It was nice thank you." I didn't look at him. I just a stared at the food. Eggs, bacon, hash browns, French toast and pancakes. Things only my brothers got to eat. "Can I have any of this or is it for the males in the house."
"Ma-males no sweetie I made this for you. I went all out... Being dead for a few months plus freezing to death must make you really hungry." I couldn't help but smile maybe for the first time in a long time. "Eat up I need you to have strength for today. We will be going out in two hours. Got it?"
"Yes sir." Still looking at the food, I heard him get up. My eyes automatically went to his. "My name is Malcolm. That's what you will call me, and you will look at me when you or I talk."
"Yes Malcolm." I stared straight into his eyes. He had scruff on his face and hair falling in his eyes. He stood about ten inches taller than me, and was built as an Ox. Malcolm turned and walked away from me.It's two hours and Malcolm hasn't said a word to me. I had eaten so much that I felt a bit nauseous, but that's okay it means I'm full. "Layla go down to the basement and wait for me." Malcolm yelled from the other room. Claire I think it was took my hand and pulled me through a dark hall and down 3 flights of stairs. There I saw I training room. Looks professional, I wasn't sure what to do. Claire smiled. "Don't worry Malcolm will tell you everything." Claire left and I looked around. Just like the room I killed Demetris in, there was heavy machinery in here. Guns of all kinds M-24 Snipers,M16 Riffles, M-4 Carbine, etc. knives, Black Dragon Naginata, Sai, and more. I was dumbfounded. "An assassin needs his weapons... The girls and I train with all of these. Now your going to...you seem good with a blade so here." He gave me a black folding knife. These are unique knives from the mid west. I looked at him weird, his hands were behind his back. "What do you want me to do with this?" Malcolm walked round me not showing his back. "Fight. I have to go on a mission for one of my clients and I decided to bring you along. Just to see how much work I need to do on you."
"Exuase me!" He laughed, " I didn't mean in that way. I meant how much I have to teach you so we... Eh you can go after the main target."
"My father." He nodded, all of a sudden I saw both hands raise up. My main reaction was to block in with my wrist. Then down came a sword slashing my wrist. I yelped in pain. I started to cry. "Lesson number one if you get any kind of injury you don't cry. Hold it in until your alone and away from people."
