I'll Put You Back Together (Book 2)

Chapter One: Escape!

{Rosie's POV}
I sat straight up in bed, waking suddenly. It was 4:24 am Earth time. It was time. Peridot, Jasper and Lapis still weren't back yet, and it had been four months.
Yellow Diamond's gonna kill you!
No, she won't.
Well, you never know! Some things can go horribly wrong horribly quickly!!
Shut up.
I gathered all of my courage, and grabbed my backpack with my sketchbook and clothes in it. I put on the belt with the scabbard for my sword in it, and took one last look at Peri's dusty unworked-on blueprints. The lamp's lightbulb was broken. My fault, of course. Listen to your mom if she tells you don't play with your sword in the house! , because it could end with more than a broken lightbulb. I left the room that I always will remember.
I'm really going through with this?! I think to myself, as I head quietly to the warp pad. Now here comes the hardest part, getting past the main hall doors. I pull up the hood of my navy blue hoodie and skirt around the outsides of the giant technologic-looking pillars, staying in the shadows like a ninja, which I was exceptionally good at. Then I made it to the warp pad, finally!! I step onto it, and concentrate on home. Then I felt a rush of power and I was warping away.
I ended up looking at a house built attached to the temple. I saw Garnet sitting on a couch with a boy. Steven. My little brother. Garnet's mouth slowly opened and she got up. She walked over to me and looked down at me. Then in a flash I felt a small body ambush me, and then another one, and I fell backwards into my butt.
"Oh, my, GOD!!" Ruby and Sapphire were both holding onto me, and I could feel them both crying.
My cheeks turned pink.
"Guys...come on..." They pushed away and I looked at them, they looked at me. I giggled. Sapphire and I looked at Ruby. She snorted and then we all started laughing hysterically. I was home.
"Umm, Ruby, Sapphire....?" Steven asked from the couch.
"Yes?" Sapphire answered, smiling still.
"Who's that?" He asked.
"Umm....your sister.." Ruby said.
