"Sir, what do you mean by elemental? Am I somehow different from other wizards and witches?", I blurted out the questions before Dumbledore even had a chance to begin speaking.
"Samantha, have you ever..... Have you ever noticed that your powers seemed to be able to do something different from Ginnies and the rest of your siblings?", Dumbledore asked me carefully, looking straight into my eyes, and I could've sworn the old man was peering into my very soul.
I though for a moment, trying to remember me doing something Ginny couldnt, "Once I........ I made the air around me swirl and pick me up like I was riding a broom because my brothers were playing quidditch and we were not allowed to, Ginny and I", this was around when we were five and I remember Ginny just stared at me before attempting to do the same trick as me.
"Alright, anything else? Perhaps with fire, earth, or water?", Dumbledore had turned to his bookshelf and began seeking for something.
"Um, I guess one time Ron was being rude so I just sent a jet of water from the palm of my hand at him, and, come to think about it, we were not anywhere near water that day", I was beginning to realize I had never heard of anyone doing things like this.
"Alright, now, imagine your hand on fire", Dumbledore turned back to face me, plopping an old and dusty book on the table, it had four crystals on it, a clear one, a green one, a red one, and a blue one.
"Im sorry, what?!?", I asked, immediatley alarmed.
"Dont worry, it wont hurt, just do it", Dumbledore said reassuringly, his face perfectly calm.
"You know what? As crazy as that sounds I will try it", I shook my head, looking at the palm of my right hand, and what happened next almost caused me to pass out.
I closed my eyes and focused all my energy into putting my hand on fire, I imagined a small flame dancing on the palm of my open hand.
I opened my eyes and saw a small flame flickering on my hand, the little bit of smoke fading.
I wanted to scream but I couldnt, this looked so wrong, and it was logically messed up, yet I felt perfectly fine.
"Well done child!", Dumbledore exclaimed, clapping his hands together, "Can you extinguish it?".
"Oh yes, I beleive I can", I smiled and extinguished it by closing my hand.
As soon as it went out I felt a wave of dizziness and tiredness fall over me and i almost fell over, I had to grab the chair so that i wouldnt fall over.
"Sir, whats happening?", I asked, alarmed.
"I thought this might happen", Dumbledore said, almost to himself, "Using your power has exhausted you, the better you get at controlling them the more stuff youll be able to do without getting exhausted", he said louder.
"O...Ok", I replied, struggling to keep my eyes open.
"Thats enough for today, no more lessons at all, Im sure Ginny will inform you of what happened, take this book and get to your dorm immediatley", Dumbledore instructed.
"Al... Alright", I yawned, grabbing the book, which was extremely heavy, and slowly walked out of the office.
I began to lean on the wall, tiredness overcoming me as I attempted to make my way back to the dormitory.
"Ah if it isn't the little- Sam, are you okay?", Draco rounded the corner, spotting me.
"I'm.... I'm fine", I struggled to say, "Shouldn't you be in class?".
"Shouldn't you?", he shot back, smirking.
"Whatever, I don't have time for this, I need to go", I rolled my eyes, continuing my slow pace down the hallway.
"Why are you so tired? Do you need help getting to your common room? Want me to carry your book?", Draco easily made it to me, and rapid fired those questions.
"Why do you want to help me?", I asked, ignoring his other questions.
"Because im a nice guy, come on, lean on me", Draco rolled his eyes, and I, being to to tired to continue by myself, did just that, leaned on him.
"Why do you have a book on elementals?", he asked, wrapping his arm around me to help me further.
"I.... I'm not sure, I.... Found it on the ground?", I asked, and lied, trying to hide the truth.
"Oooooooooooookay", Draco said sarcastically.
We reached the door.
"Thanks for helping me Draco, good bye, see you in potions", I yawned at the end.
"Probably before that, I intend to find out why you had that book", Draco smirked, and then walked back down the hall, hands in his pockets, whistiling.
I stood there watching him for before he turned the corner, wondering why he had asked to help me and why I accepted.
I shook my head, why was I even watching him go?
I managed to stumble into the common room, almost dropping the book.
People noticed me, probably realizing that I was a Weasley, and then went back to talking.
I leaned onto the railing, placing all of my wait on it as I paced myself going up the stairs.
When I finally made it into my room, I fell into my bed, barely having enough strength to push the book under it so that Ginny wouldn't find it, I'd tell her about it myself later.
I fell into a deep sleep immediately, wondering if Draco really would find out about why I had the book
