I climbed into the ring, the crowd booing. It was my first fight, and I wasn't going to lose. The man in front of me chuckled, making a pout.

"Get lost in the crowd, separated from Mommy?" He smirked, circling. I tilted my head, grinning.

"Nah, she said to go kick the dumbest person's ass. So here I am." The underground fights in Santa Barbara there were no rules. They fought dirty, and that's exactly how I like it. There was no ring ref and no judges. First one unconscious loses.

"Whatever runt. You're going down." He continued circling, then went for my head. ducking, I swung my leg, knocking him down. He looked up at me, stunned. I smirked pulling back my fist.

"Sometimes the runts are the most powerful." My fist, with rings under my wraps, connected with his nose.

"And we have a winner!" The announcer booms, a smirk spreading over my face. He bounds into the ring, and removes a ring from my opponent's hand. I grab it, sliding it over my wraps. My hand held in the air, the crowd cheered.

"Abuela! I'm home!" I yell, searching for my grandmother.

"Isabella, come help me slice these chili peppers!" She yells, and I she her chopping things in the kitchen. I remove my wraps and rings, throw them into the closet (My room) and head into the kitchen.

"Mi bonito, how was your fight?" She asks, over looking me for bruises. Mi abuela has been a little over protective since my mother was beaten to death by a drunk fighter. Always haunts me.

"I'm fine." I say, hugging her.

"Well you can never be too cuidadoso." She says, smiling.

We finish the chile and eat. I excuse myself to the closet, and pull out my phone.

'The next fight is tomorrow night @ 9. Be there @ 8'

Kara, my best amigo, texts me. Her brother, Anthony, is a fighter too. He gets me my fights. I reply and lay down, falling asleep as soon as my head meets the pillow.
