Chapter 5

Faith:

I woke up on the couch feeling really groggy and off. I groaned at the pain in my head and sat up. Jess was watching TV and trinity was sleeping on the floor. "Here's some meds for the headache." Jess said handing me a glass of water and ibuprofen. "Thanks." I smiled. I sighed after I took it and got up. "Where ya going?" Jess asked. "To chases practice... I gotta tell him." I said and she nodded. I went to my room and pulled on some old jeans and a sweatshirt and pulled my hair into a quick ponytail and drove to the practice.

I walked in and saw the guys practicing. I went and sat on the bench to wait for chase. Tears in my eyes. He ran up to get his water bottle and saw me and ran over. "Hey babe." He said kissing me. "Hey!" I laughed. "I'd hug you but your all sweaty and gross." I laughed and he chuckled. "What's up? You didn't say you were coming.." He said. "I gotta tell you something...." I sighed running my fingers through my hair. "What?" He asked. "I-I'm pregnant..." I said.

"Pregnant??!?" He gasped. I nodded. "But we used protection." He said. "Well it didn't work." I said. "When'd you find out?" He asked. "Yesterday before the party..." I said. "Why didn't you tell me then?" He asked. "Because I was stressed enough about it I just wanted to relax and have a couple drinks and not give a fuck what was going on!" I said in anger and kicked the bench in front of me and burst into tears. "Hey, don't cry..." Chase whispered. "I can't do this! I'm not ready for a baby! Not now! My career just started takin off and I don't want a child now!" I said crying. "Faith-". "we can't do this! Me with singing and you doing football. We have no time to take care of a baby and our relationship would be totally different and-" "faith stop!" Chase cut me off. "I know your stressed and overly worried.. I am too. But we don't have to do this yet. We can put the baby up for adoption.. It's ok." He said hugging me. I shook my head. "I have to abort it...." I whispered.

I lay in bed that night. All I've done today was tell chase and come home and basically cry the rest of the day. "I don't know what to do anymore.. " I thought as I fell asleep.

I woke up and went to the bathroom to fix my messy hair and realized my pants were covered in blood.. I quickly changed and ran out of the room. Running into Jess's room and jumping on her bed. "Where's the other pregnancy test we bought!?" I asked. "In the bathroom under the counter.." She said slowly and I ran off to the bathroom. I took the test and waited for the results. Jess came in. "What's wrong?" She asked. I looked at the test. "I had a miscarriage..." I said.

I lay on the couch my feet in the air as I flipped through TV channels. I'm not pregnant anymore. Sure I know a miscarriage is sad but in my case it was a good thing. And I didn't feel bad like I would have if I had aborted it. My phone rang and I grabbed it. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey faith, Demi Lovato is coming in today at 5 to work on that song and we need you to come in then because that's the ONLY time she can be here." Usher said. "Kk.." I said and hung up. I skipped to my room and pulled on some leggings and a cute floral skirt and a white tshirt and put on some different necklaces and pulled on my jean jacket. I felt like dressing girly today. I ran to Jess's room and barged in. "Wanna meet demi Lovato?" I asked. "Yeahh..." She said. "She's gonna be working with me on a song for the album. You can come meet her. Get changed into better clothes!" I said. Jess screamed in excitement. "OK!" She squealed and ran to her closet and changed into pink and white tie dyed shorts, black converse, and a white loose top that looked like she had wings if she raised her arms. She put on a cute infinity sign necklace and turned to me. "LETS GOO" she screamed running to my car. "Oh gosh.." I laughed.

"Don't freak out, no screaming, kicking, fangirling, dying or anything that will embarrass you.. Don't worry I got this." Jess said to me. On the drive I spent the whole time making sure Jess wouldn't freak out about meeting demi. "Ok.." I said unsure. I hope she doesn't act like a total fangirl. We walked into the studio and I lead Jess back to the recording booth where I walked in to see demi and usher. As Jess walked in she stopped and looked ready to scream but I slightly elbowed her arm so she wouldn't freak and she looked at me and seemed to calm down some. "Faith who's this?" Usher asked. "Usher this is my bestfriend Jess and Jess this is usher." I said. They shook hands. "I've actually heard about you from Justin. He apparently saw your covers for songs you do on YouTube and loved them." Usher said and Jess laughed. "Yeah I think he sorta likes me.." Jess said and usher laughed. "Anyway this is demi, Demi this is Jess and faith." He said. "Hey guys." She smiled. "Hey." Jess said. "Huge fan. I love your new single national anthem." Demi said to me. "Aww thanks!" I laughed. "Alright so I've worked with Demi on her part and faith knows the song... We're doing dark paradise." He said nodding to me at the last part and i nodded back. "Great." I said and me and demi went in the booth. "I'm gonna go get some water..." I heard Jess say as we went in.

-Jess's POV-

I grabbed my water bottle from the vending machine and turned and bumped into Justin. "Hey what are you doing here??" He asked as he hugged me. "Just with faith to meet demi..." I laughed. "Cool..." He said. I nodded walking off trying to avoid him. "So wanna go see a movie after this or something?" He asked. "I can't I-I'm busy." I lied. "You haven't been responding to my texts all day... You ok?" He asked. "I'm fine.. I gotta go back to faith." I said walking past him. "I'm going that way anyways ill walk with you." He said and I shook my head. "I gotta go use the bathroom..." I lied and jogged to the bathroom. I walked in and checked the stalls to make sure no one was there and then I kicked the wall. Cursing as I held my foot. "Stupid boys!" I gasped as I fell on my knees and burst into tears. I stood up and wiped up my messy mascara and shook my head at myself in the mirror. "Don't do this again.." I whispered to myself and went back to faith and them.

I hate this....

-Faiths POV-

Jess came back after we recorded the song and Justin had come to work with usher on a new song he was writing. "Bye guys! Justin waved to us as we left. "Hey do you guys wanna exchange numbers?" Demi asked me and Jess. "Sure!" I said and she handed me her phone and I handed her mine and then Jess put her number in Demi's phone and demi put her number in Jess's phone. "Thanks! We'll have to go shopping some time!" She said. Demi was super sweet and funny and I really did wanna hang out with her again soon. "Of course!" I said. Jess mumbled in agreement and demi looked at her. "You like him?" Demi asked as we started walking to the parking lot. "Wha- who.." Jess asked. "Justin.." Demi said. Jess shook her head. "Yes you do.. And he likes you.." Demi said. "Relationships never work for me though.. I-I always end up with a broken heart...." Jess ranted. I could tell she was really upset. "If you like him go for it. He could be the one for you... I gotta go but ill text you later..." Demi said and hugged me then Jess and she went to her car and me and Jess went to mine.

"You like him... Why didn't you tell me?" I asked. "Because I don't wanna admit to myself or anyone else that I like him..." Jess muttered. "What happened with your last boyfriend?" I asked. "He dumped me and went gay." Jess said and I chuckled. "Obviously he didn't really like you then." I said and Jess giggled. "Yeah... I guess." She said and we got to the house. "Lets go shopping! You me and trinity and we can girly talk, gossip, try on random stuff and just have fun.." I said. Jess looked at me. "Lets go get trinity!" She said happily and ran inside.

I let her go and grabbed my phone and called usher. "Justin's right... You need to sign Jess..." I said...
