Deep Thoughts

[First Person Chapter]

[Mirasol, Age 12]

While Solei and Scruffy were yelling at each other about using two guns I thought back to my father and Mr.Military. Every time I think about it I'm on the verge of crying. My father was a great man who was great at filling in for my mother who wasn't here at the time. She decided to leave to find a way to unify all of Oceanside, which was currently warring. Oceana was the next faction closest to the Mainland. If I were lucky enough to be recognized we could regroup and I could return order to the Mainland and continue my mothers work.

After actually hearing the yelling in the backround, I glanced up at Solei. Solei, my first ever friend. Even though we have actually known each other for a few days I thought of her as my friend from birth. We have some strange connection that is a great feeling for someone in a princesses position. Otherwise actually feeling love from someone besides my mother. I hope I can find her.

Scruffy is a strange devil...showing up out of nowhere and becoming out teacher following us on this crazy adventure. I will admit that he is a great teacher but its a little odd. I feel like a need to research Scruffy since he did show up in the palace.

"Yo!!! You guys should check out what I can do!" Madam Meow Meow jumped from the second story of the boat and landed next to us along with her "kittens". She showed her routines on how she would jump on both of them and they would attack with their sharp teeth, even though there weren't any attackers.

Madam Meow Meow and Jarwin are the next people I met. Even though I only met her 3 days ago again like Solei I feel like they have been my friends for years. She is a kooky woman who has surprisingly large boobs for her form. She has her "kittens" and they are great...things. Not sure how to define them. Jarwin hasn't really showed much emotion, I guess playing into his butler persona. He has served us food and again like everyone else I want to tap into their pasts and just know a bit more about then.

Magic is the last thing recently introduced to me. During the time in the castle siege I was able to stop time. My swordsmanship skills were mediocre so I was lucky enough to manage a few kills. Such as the one saving Solei when she lacked the defensive skills. Scruffy taught me the water and how to transfer it into my blade, which is freaking awesome! But it begs me to question where this magic came from or why Scruffy knows so much about it. Again, I will have to look into his past... Looking up at Solei and all my friends having a fun time I decided to join.

[Solei, Age 12]

Scruffy is a damn bastard making me use two guns, its bullshit cause I can't manage two types of magic how am I suppose to transfer it into TWO guns. It's asking two much of me and I just can't. I am currently sitting on my bed and Mirasol is crashed next to me. After the mini party we had on the boat today, Scruffy attempted to teach me how to muster the magic which is have its physical form in a ball in your hand such as a fireball or poisonball. I munch on a macaroon as a desperately try to muster both magic at once. But sadly it doesn't work and I turned the drapes to ash. I cough and swat at the ash to blow it away. The moon shines through the clear glass and I stare at the moon. I think back to my Mom and Dad. The only memory of us together was looking at the moon one day when I was six. The day before she left.

Mom was a strange woman. she loved me very much and would stop at nothing to see I was happy but, she just bailed. She said she had a job offer in Tawai and she was rushing to get over there but Tawai was one of the Enemy Islands and I don't know whether she is even alive or not. I want to bring up trying to go and look for her but I don't know if Solei and the others would like that especially since she is the Princess of Oceanside whom the Enemy Islands hate with a buring passion.

After thinking about my missing parents and the slums for so long I forgot about how I am living withthe greatest people in all of Oceanside. I smiled and attempted to muster once more and to my luck I actually do it. I scream so loud everyone wakes up and runs in and sees the two glowing balls of magic. "Nice job Screw-Up" Scruffy chuckles as I glare and prepare a rant.
