Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I had some really good ideas for my fanfic Big Time Crush (Check it out!) So last chapter I guess you can call it a cliffhanger. Sorta. No? Kay. Lol(: sooo I hope you guys like the story so far! Enjoy!

I almost choke.

"Beijing. Beijing as in...BEIJING?!"

I lose it.

"How am I supposed to get my phone when I'm all the way in Hawaii, and you're all the way in Beijing?! We're in completely different countries, comPLETEly different parts of the world, and I don't even KNOW you! Ahh!" I'm kicking and screaming.

It's a good thing I pulled over because there would've been at least 4 people dead by now..

"Jocelyn. Listen."

I calm down.

"Okay, I'm listening."

"First let's figure out some things. How long are you going to be in Hawaii?" He's talking to me like I'm a baby trying to learn their ABCs.

"2 weeks, but then catching a flight to Florida. So its not an indirect flight. How long are you going to be in China?"

"Oh thank god! 2 weeks! Okay, this'll be just fine. All we have to do is exchange phones at the airport when we go to fly home! Right?"

This guy may be cute, but he's not the sharpest.

"Are you deaf?"

"Uh, no, duh. I can see! What, are you stupid or something?"

If I could catch a flight to Beijing right now, I'd be the top murder story on the news.

I sigh. Slowly so he can hear my pain.

"Okay.. I have 2 flights. Different time span. No phone swap-py. You get me now?"

Pause.

"Yes."

"Good! Now, here's what we will do." Now I was talking to him like a baby.

"As far as messages go, when I get a message meant for you, I'll forward it to you on my phone so you can see it, and the same for mine. Are you with me so far?"

"Yep!"

"Great. Now only forward me important ones. Okay? International messages cost money ya know."

"I hear ya."

"So, it looks like we'll just have to get used to each other for a while---"

"Oops. I'm getting a call. Well, you are. Ooooh! Who's Codyyy? Your boyyyfriend?" He says with a chuckle.

"No! Stop it! Just..just.."

"Just what? Answer it? Message him what happened? Send him your selfies!" He starts to laugh now.

"Ugh! Just decline it. I'll call him myself. If you do anything to my phone I'll---"

I look at the vibrating phone.

"Are you expecting a call from David? David Lang?"

"Oh! Yes! He's my friend I'm meeting at the airport. He said he'd call when he was picking me up. Um, just, just..."

"Just what? Answer him? Message him what happened?" I put his words right back into his dumb little mouth. "Or maybe I should send him YOUR selfies!" I burst out in laughter.

"Decline it! I'll just text him from here. Okay. If anything happens, don't act so stupid"

"I can say the same for you, mister."

"Bye I guess."

He hangs up.

Well isn't he a charmer?

I pull back onto the road and forget about what just happened. Or try to anyway. How could I? My phone---with pictures, memories, discoveries and friends--- is halfway around the world with a complete stranger! I don't even know his name, who he is, or...URGH!

Okay.

You're almost at a beach house Alice. You're on a tropical getaway Alice.

Calm down Alice.

Breathe in...breathe out.

In. Out. In. Out.

"Ahh..." I sigh in relief as I pull up to the sight of the dream house.
