The Bigger Star Here

Me and Black*Star had finally reached the staircase leading up to Maka and Soul's apartment. 

"Hey, Kayla," I heard Black*Star Say to my right, "Last one to Maka's is a rotten-...."

Before he could even finish his sentence I started bolting up the stairs, I could hear him snickering behind me as I took off.  Of course he started catching up to me towards the end.

I finally found myself racing into the hallway, I tried to catch my breath looking both ways to the left and right, almost forgetting where Maka's apartment was.  My feet turned around back to the staircase looking down, surprisingly enough, Black*Star was no where to be found.  Thinking it was safe I zoomed back around, my body carrying me to the right where the Maka and Soul's apartment was.  I found myself zoned out trying to reach the room but suddenly I felt heavy heavy and fast feet coming from down the hallway behind me. cursing under my breath I started to pick up my pace.  About ten feet away from Maka's door I gasped in surprise as a hand on my back pushed me forward, with my amazing reflexes I processed the situation and found my arms reaching out to try and find his feet passing by. "Yes!" I thought as I found the soft fabric of Black*Star's pants. With all my strength I yanked my arms back. After hearing a loud thud I jumped up, still feeling the impact that my chin had against the carpeted floor, I ran and and threw my hand against the door. 

"Winner, winner, chicken dinner!" I yell down at Black*Star on the ground a couple feet away.

Black*Star stood up and started walking towards me.

"Ouch." he continues, "You're not to bad." he chuckles.

"Well, this probably won't come as a surprise to you but I'm not used to losing." I say sweetly.

I look back at the door and touch the cold door handle turning it to open into the still full room of Maka, Soul, Tsubaki, Kid, Liz, Patty, Kc and Kait. 

"Well, speak of the devil." Soul said. "Where have you guys been?"

Trying to hide the fact that he was out of breath, Black*Star spoke up, "The almighty Black*Star was just taking a walk around the park trying to calm this lady down, like the nice guy you all know I am!"

"Huh, really Black*Star! And third person, this is almost exactly how I pictured him, suprisingly." I thought to myself in my big head.

"You wish!" I shouted speaking up. "It was actually the other way around." I finished with a big smile.

"A great star like me doesn't need to be comforted!" Black*Star yelled confidently.

"Keep telling yourself that." I say. "I'm actually a greater star then you."

I laughed a little when he crossed his arms and looked in the other direction obviously having nothing to say about what I had just said.  Without realizing it I started laughing uncontrollably.

"The day you surpass God, which is unlikely," I continue, "Is the day I'll surpass you."  At this point I had the biggest grin on my face, I hadn't even stopped laughing.

Black*Star looked so mad, which made me laugh even more.  Right after this incident everyone became completely silent.  Soul broke the awkwardness by getting up and heading over to the movie shelf, apparently Kait was not to happy about this.

"Hey, hold it Mr!" she shouted. Soul swung around asking a little annoyed, "What?"

"I am not watching another movie, neither is anyone else." she protested.  I ended up nodding in agreement with everyone else.

"So, then what are we going to do?" Kc asked.

"I don't know, it's getting pretty late don't you think?" Maka declared.
"Well, maybe it's time for the big star to close the curtain and leave." Black*Star said standing up.
"I guess that means we are leaving now." Tsubaki stood up and started heading towards the door with Black*Stat following. 

Sadness overcame me knowing that my favorite character had just left, but I had a feeling I would be seeing him again.

After a while Kid, Patty and Liz left as well. 

Before me and Kc knew it, the inevitable happened.
