She's a Girl!

~Peter's P.O.V.~

"She's a girl, Peter! She can't play with us!" Slightly complained.

"Yea Peter! Come on!" the Raccoons whined.

"We've never played with a girl before, Peter..." Tootles wrote.

"Boys, boys, settle. Victoria is okay, and that's true, Tootles, we've never played with a girl, so before you all go shooting the idea down. Give her a chance." I interrupted. The boys didn't seem to like that I brought a girl. There were never really any girls.

"Listen, I told her I'd be right back, she's waiting on the beach. You guys can either stay here and I'll bring her, or you can come with me. Majority wins. Vote." I said. The majority voted to go to the beach with me. So we went.

~Victoria's P.O.V.~

Peter said he'd be back in a moment. He was going to introduce me to the Lost Boys! I was so excited. I felt like I might finally have a family if I can convince them to let me be a Lost...Girl? Although, the more I thought about it, the more I wondered...maybe girls weren't allowed to stay? I'd never heard a story about a Lost Girl before. Maybe it just wasn't possible.

Suddenly, I heard noises from the bushes so I put my guard up, I picked up a couple shells just in case. "Victoria! I brought the boys!" I got up and stood in the middle of the beach, not too close to the water and not too close to the sound. Peter poked his head out, "Oh, there you are." He walked out followed by 6 boys in hooded animal suits.

I dropped the shells. The first one out was taller than Peter and dressed in a fox suit, "I'm Slightly, but you will call me Foxy."

The second was about the same height as Peter and dressed in a rabbit suit, "Nibs."

Two boys dressed in raccoon suits said, "We're the Raccoon Twins!" at the same time. I looked at Peter and he shrugged like he had no idea what that meant.

Another boy, a little chubbier than the rest, walked out in a bear suit slowly and saluted me, "Cubby at your service!" and smiled.

Finally, a small boy who looked my age, hopped out dressed like a skunk. He had a notepad with "I'm Tootles" written on a page. He showed me and smiled.

I smiled at all the boys and turned to Peter, "These are your friends?" I turned back to the boys, "'Ello boys! You all look so lovely!" I said excitedly.

Foxy seemed uninterested in communicating with me for some reason. Nibs didn't speak much and the twins finished all of the other's sentences. Cubby spoke like he wasn't very educated. Tootles, the adorable little skunk boy wrote everything he wished to say down with such speed, it was admirable. I didn't ask him why he didn't speak. I just held as much conversation as I could with Peter and the boys. It was so much fun.

Suddenly, Foxy stood, "Peter. I think this is inappropriate." I was confused.

Peter looked at Foxy, still sitting, "What?"

"This. She's a girl for goodness sakes! Peter Pan, I refuse to play with a girl. They like girly things and I do not." He crossed his arms.

Peter stood, "Slightly, have you once thought to ask the poor girl what her interests are? Everyone else is willing to get to know her, but you're being a complete bully."

Foxy gasped, "Bully? No! I just...that's not true! If anyone is a bully it's...it's YOU, Peter!" he said crossly.

Nibs hopped up, "Not true, Slightly! Peter is awesome! He gave us all places to sleep and live! He's not a bully, he's a hero! You're the bully!"

Everyone stared at Nibs in shock. Even Foxy. I figured I should speak up, "Foxy? If you had thought to ask me, I would have told you, I actually don't like girly things. I like playing in dirt and back in London, I live on the streets so I don't have any girly things. I like all the stuff boys do."

He gave me a look that said he was unconvinced that I was playmate material, "Whatever. I'm going back to my room, Peter. Come get me when she's gone." and he stormed off.

Peter apologised for Foxy's behavior, he told me he just hasn't ever played with a girl before. The groups just been boys until now."

"Pee-tuh, ow bout Vitoria join us?" Cubby said.

Peter brightened, "That's a great idea Cub! Victoria, how would you like to be the first official Lost Girl?"

I laughed, "Really?" he nodded and I accepted. We spent the rest of the day on the beach. When the sun began to go down, we walked to where the boy's homes were. They were small huts but adorable none the less.

I looked down, I noticed I lost my mum's bracelet between the beach and here, "Um...Peter? I lost my bracelet!"

He turned around, "Was it special?" I nodded and told him it was left with me when I was a baby, it came with a note that said it was from my mother. He nodded his head, "Alright boys, partner up! We are gonna find Victoria's bracelet! Skunk, I'll go with you, Raccoon, go with Cub, Slightly, you're with Victoria. Be nice!"

I told everyone what it looked like and we took off. Peter and Tootles went west, the twins and Cubby went east, and Foxy and I went south.

We were about halfway back to the shore when I realised Foxy was gone. I shouted for him but I was alone. I ran back in the direction I thought I came from but only ended up more lost. I started to get scared when I heard a twig snap. I ducked down and hugged my knees to my chest. I started to cry a little, I thought I was gonna be lost forever.

I hewrd another twig snap, closer. "'Ello?" I called out, "who's there!?" Nothing. I hugged myself and cried out, "PETER! PETER PAN, I'M LOST!" Suddenly, someone jumped out of the bushes at me. I screamed.
