A month later,

Cordyn,

"C'mere, bubbie" I opened my arms

She rolled her eyes, walking towards me. I hugged her as I picked her up, her legs wrapping around my torso.

"Wanna go somewhere today?" I asked, kissing her earlobe

"Mm, no, I just wanna stay home" She shrugged, nuzzling her head on my chest "It's lazy day"

"It's always lazy day for you, baby" I chuckled

Placing her on the bed, my phone started buzzing on Genai's night stand. Genai sat up with her elbows and I quickly snatched my phone from the surface, answering it.

"What ya want?" I snarled

"You needa come and take care of your son, Cordyn" Amber scoffed

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows "I never, what- Quit this lyin' shit, man"

"Whatever, just meet me near your job"

"I'm not meetin' ya anywhere" I groaned "Can ya just leave me alone? Stop annoyin' my ass, fam"

"This is the last time I'm going to bother you. Just meet me down here" She spat, hanging up

I looked at my phone and back to Genai, who was staring at me with a confused look.

"What's going on?" She questioned, watching me as I got up

"I gotta go" I told her, grabbing my jeans from off the floor, putting them on along with my shirt

"Where you heading off to?" She raised her eyebrow "You just got here, Cordyn"

"I just gotta go meet someone" I said quickly, trying to give her a kiss on the lips

She pushed my chest, getting under the covers. I sighed, turning my phone off so that Amber won't be blowing it up. My phone wouldn't let me delete her contact and it fucking sucks. I need a new phone, and I was planning on getting one today if Genai and I ever went out.

This is wasn't adding up. Yes, Amber is my ex-girlfriend- but, I only had sex with her twice and that was a year ago. Besides, she aborted the baby I help create with her. That's how we broke up, I ended that shit because of what she did. So I don't know how she could have a son by me. Not one clue.

"Baby," I kissed her cheeks "Talk to me"

"No, just go. You got things to do right?"

"Genai, don't do this right now" I sighed

"Nah, go do what you want. Go do what you gotta do" She used that certain high tone

I looked at her, a weird confused, yet scared expression plastered on my face.

"Nope, nuh uh" I took my shirt off, shaking my head

"What? Go ahead and do whatever-"

I kicked off my jeans, getting in the bed, I laid next to her, "Nope"

"Cordyn"

"Mm mm" I poked out my bottom lip, putting my head in my hand

She played with my hair, shrugging with a little grin, "Okay"

Genai and I have been dating for a month and I already know she gets mad quickly. I wasn't taking no chances. Amber doesn't mean shit to me, so going to meet her is actually pointless.
