The Secrets We Keep

The First Day

*Flash back*
Born into a family of 8 children, all of us the same age only some older by minutes. I was the 5th one born. Sadly though only 4 of us remained after a week of our births. There was Jake my oldest brother, then Mariah my sister, then came Rider, and finally me, my name is Haylee. We all live in Tennessee where our family had lived for hundreds of years.

*Present Day*
Dear diary,
I am 16 today, along with my three siblings. Due to family issues where we used to live, we are now living in Maine. My siblings and I are starting our first day of our new school today. I hope all goes well.

Rider, Jake, Mariah and I were all sitting in our new class room now when the teacher had us all rise and told the class our names. After my name was said a group of girls waved me over to there table. I sat now nested to one of the girls, she said her name was Claire. The other girls said their names where Ally and Peyton. I saw Rider and Jake sit down at the table with the football players, and Mariah sat with them. Today seemed as though it would be a good day.
By now the school day is over, Jake and I decided to go look at the town. We started at Main Street, and by now we are on Disaster Rd. Jake had heard that no one ever goes down Disaster Rd. and thought it would be fun.
It's 10:08 and dark out when we heard a noise from a side street, we had to be quite to sneak up on who or whatever was making the noise. When we had gotten to the begging of the side street, we poked our heads around and saw the most disturbing thing I have seen in Maine so far.. I saw Ally, she was devouring an adult by the neck. Then she saw us. We ran as fast as we could, but she caught up.
Ally~ " I think we need to talk about this."
Jake being my protective big brother snarled at her.. I have never seen his eyes go so yellow on a normal day.. Ally looked at Jake and then back at me, I knew she must have know now.
Ally~ "Calm down Jake! We obviously both have secrets to keep, let's not make it harder!"
Me~ " Jake, maybe we should listen to her, we need a friend in this town."
Jake~ " Why should we trust her?!? She's blood sucker!"
Me~ " We should trust her because she hasn't run crying wolf! She's trying to be friendly!"
Ally~ "Haylee, I will talk to you tomorrow when we can speak alone."

Then Ally was gone. Jake was still in mood so we ran home to burn some steam. When got there it was already 12:16. Our parents wouldn't stop asking questions, but before we got home Jake and I had both decided to keep what we learned a secret.
