Nate's Point Of View

Driving home from the coffee shop, I had time to think. Did I really just ask him out? Or is this a dream? My mind kept overplaying with thoughts. Honestly, it was annoying me. Once I arrived home, I made my way into my house. I slipped out of my shoes and dragged myself upstairs to my bedroom before tossing myself into the bed. My eyes slipped closed as a pleased groan left my lips at the comfort from my mattress. For about an hour I just laid there and relaxed. When my phone began to buzz in my pocket, I pulled it out and answered the phone call.

"Hello?" I said into the phone tiredly.

"Oh, I apologize if I woke you. I can call tomorrow if you'd like. It's Luke." A male voice replied.

"No no, that's okay. The date. What days are you off from work?"

"I'm off this weekend."

"Alright, how does Saturday sound? Just text me your address and I'll pick you up around 5:30."

"Sounds great!"

"That's the plan then. Goodnight, Luke."

"Night night, Nate."

I hung the phone up before setting it on the table, my body stretched out before curling back into my pillows and blankets. After a few minutes of silence, I fell asleep to the thought of him. Him.
