Azrael stared at her golden satiny bracelet, as she sat on her burnished pedestal.
"Azrael, come here for a moment!" a distant voice yelled. Azrael pounced up from her pedestal, and darted to Heaven's Gates, Azrael stopped running and turned her attention towards the Gate Keeper.
"Hey, you wouldn't happen to know who called me, would you?" Azrael asked, giving the Gate Keeper a sinister stare.
"Lord Sorath wants you in his temple immediately, my lady. He asked that you cooperate." said, the Gate Keeper. Azrael blew out a pouted sigh and stomped her way into Lord Sorath's temple, Azrael pushed open the double doors and crossed her arms.
"What is it that you want? Why is it that every time I'm busy doing girl stuff you decide to call me down into this ridiculous temple?" Azrael asked, with her arms crossed aggressively.
Lord Sorath glimpsed at Azrael and chuckled, "haha, don't be foolish my darling. What girl stuff could you have possibly been doing? I can bet my eternal life that you were outside the Heaven's Gates staring at that bracelet of yours, bored out of your pretty little mind."
said Lord Sorath, with a smirk on his face. Azrael unfolded her arms and looked at Lord Sorath; "well then, why do you need me your royal highness?" Azrael asked, sarcastically.
The temple grew silent, Azrael crossed her arms and began to back out of the temple. "I need you to do something very important for me Azrael; please cooperate with me so we can get this done with ease." said Lord Sorath, crossing his legs over one another.
Azrael came to a halt and unfolded her arms, Azrael looked around the temple for any lingering guards. "Why must you put me through so much hell?" asked Azrael.
Lord Sorath leaped out of his pedestal and walked towards Azrael; "you know better than to play in such a manner, you do not speak of that wretched pit in such a holy temple!" Lord Sorath said, backslapping Azrael; Azrael fell to the floor and held her face.
"Get up, you have yet to witness my worse." Azrael struggled to her feet; "father why must you be so cruel? It was merely a farce" Azrael whimpered.
Lord Sorath walked passed Azrael; "there are things that you cannot joke with my dear, it is my responsibility to keep you and the planet earth safe. I will go to whatever length that I must just to keep everything in balance."Lord Sorath said, glimpsing over his shoulder.
"I'm sorry father, what is it that you needed for me to do?" Azrael asked, rubbing her cheek aggressively.
Lord Sorath came to a sudden halt and turned back to Azrael; "I need you to go down to planet Earth and befriend a man with the name of Samuel Hall, and you have to gain his trust . Simple enough? good, don't disappoint me."
Azrael stood there in awe for a brief moment, unsure of how to respond. "But father I've never been to planet Earth, and why would I have to meet a fellow like that? I'm perfectly fine here in Heaven, I don't need friends." Azrael exclaimed, flipping her glossy blonde hair.
Lord Sorath put his hands on the double doors and pushes them open then walked out of the temple; Azrael rushed to the temple doors and forced them open but Lord Sorath was gone.
"Great as if leaving me will make this any easier for me." Azrael said under her breath, rubbing her cheek gently.
Azrael walked to Heaven's Gates and looked at the Gate Keeper, the Gate Keeper glimpsed at Azrael and quickly turned away, hoping that Azrael hadn't noticed that he saw her.
"Hey, Gate Keeper! Did you see my father? Don't lie to me." Azrael asked, looking inconspicuous. The Gate Keeper turned towards Azrael and pointed towards the dark side of the Heavens.
"Lord Sorath personally told me to inform you that the way to planet Earth is that way, my lady; and to not take any of your belongings with you except your bracelet." The Gate Keeper said.
Azrael snapped her eyes towards the darkness; "so, do I just walk into the darkness or do I have to like run through it? Azrael asked.
The Gate Keeper slowly turned his head towards Azrael and shook his head; "just walk into the darkness, my lady. It isn't that complicated."
Azrael gave the Gate Keeper a dirty look and continued walking towards the darkness, Azrael began to sprint into the darkness but it got colder as she went further into the dark abyss.
Azrael turned around "hey, Gate Keep..." Azrael paused, the Gate Keeper was no where to be found; Azrael darted her head forward to continue walking but there was no more darkness, there were streets with houses and kids roaming around on scooters and bicycles .
"Well, this is definitely gonna take some getting used too." Azrael whispered, staring down a woman in a pitch black suit and she was carrying a black suitcase.
The woman spots Azrael and walks on the same sidewalk as her; "no no no, please don't come this way!" Azrael whispered to herself.
The mysterious lady walked up to Azrael and gave her the black suitcase; "what its in the suitcase? and who are you?" Azrael asked, cautiously taking the suitcase.
"I'm someone that doesn't matter, and in that suitcase is your house keys, lease for the house, and your paper work for high school; your house number is 471. Good luck, my lady."
Azrael opened the suitcase and looked through the paper work; "school? I'm an angel I don't go to school, maybe you have me confused with someone else?" Azrael said, suspiciously
"No Azrael, you're the one." Said the mysterious lady. Azrael glimpsed at her and back at the suitcase, Azrael closes the suitcase. "How do you know my na..." Azrael paused, looking around as if she'd just seen a woman vanish into thin air in a blink of an eye.
"Well, I guess I have a house now. I hope its manageable." Azrael whispered to herself. Azrael began walking down the street; "469...470...ahhh! 471! I found you." Azrael walked up to the light blue house and opened the suitcase.
Azrael took the key out of the suitcase and opened the wooden door; "not so bad, now where's my bed? I'm exhausted! Schools Monday." Azrael rushed up the circular set of stairs and opened the first door she saw. Azrael jumped onto the well made king sized bed, and was fast asleep.
