Meghan's POV:
Joey asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday! Ahhh! Of course I said yes! We are going on a walk soon.
"Meghansan, are you ready babe?" Joey called. I replied with a yes. We walked for ten or so minutes before we stopped at a bench so Joey could tie his shoe. I noticed a bush shaking. I stood up and walked towards it. A girl was inside it! She jumped up and ran.
"WAIT!" I called "Come back!" She turned and walked back.
"Wh-What do you want?" She asked. I patted the bench and she sat.
"What's your name?" I asked. She muttered something inaudible. "What?" I asked again.
"M-Mikaylah." She said, louder. I asked her full name. "Mikaylah Jane Robinson...um ex Robinson."
"Why ex?" I asked. She took a deep breath. Joey stared at her with concern etched in his face.
"My father's name is Ben Robinson, company manager of the Ban Gays program. I am gay, so you can see our little problem. I told him and he threw me out. My mom was drunk, she's an alcoholic. I was hit by her many times. My sister was the only friend I had. Her name is Anika Anne. She's sweet and kind and...and, well my best friend. I just hope she's ok." Mikaylah was crying, so was Joey.
"You sound like me and my family, minus the whole dad situation." Joey said. Mikaylah looked at him and smiled. Joey was holding my hand.
"Look, I have to go, I have money to make, so..." She said. I shook my head.
"Come stay with us for a while!" I cried. I looked at Joey and he agreed. Mikaylah slowly smiled and nodded.
"Ok!"
