>Hayden's POV<

"So this is the main entrance to the school, where our English Reading, Writing, and Speech classes." Connor says, as we walk through the hall, with Ivory silk banners hanging from the ceiling. It was truly a beautiful building. Everything seemed so amazing anyway. "Can I see your schedule?" Connor says. I hand him my schedule and he scans it. "Oh nice! You have creative writing with me on 1st period." He says and keeps looking. "Actually you have 4 out of the 6 classes with me!" He continues and then he hands me my schedule back.

"Okay lets continue on then." He says and we exit the building. We go through all of the school buildings and meet the other teachers of the school. We finally reach the music building and Connor says, "Alright here is the choir teacher's room, Mr. Atkinson. He's a very passionate choir teacher and a really nice man. But just to let you know he strives for perfection." I nod and we soon enter the choir room, where Mr. Atkinson and the other students sight read music. The sound of music fills my ears and i feel at home.

Soon Mr. Atkinson notices us and says, "Hello Connor, its nice to see you again." Connor smiles and replies, "Yes it is. So this is Hayden, he'll be in your class." Mr. Atkinson looks at me and says, "Welcome Hayden." I give him a kind smile and a light nod. He comes towards me and says, "Even though its the 2nd semester, and auditions are in the beginning of the school year, would you be okay with auditioning now?" I look at Connor and he gives me a thumbs up. I look at Mr. Atkinson and nod. He smiles and says, "Okay, so please step to the middle of the room and you can sing whatever you'd like. Preferably a song that uses your whole range." I nod and walk to the front.

I look out to the other students, eyes observant, and I notice Christina. She has her eyes solid on me and an eyebrow raised. I look at Mr. Atkinson and ask, "Do you have a iPod docking station? The music is instrumental and it helps me sing." He points over to the wall on my left and i walk quickly over to it. I take out my phone and pull up the instrumental of "Hold My Hand" by: Jess Glynne. Soon I press the play button and the song begins to play.

I get back to the center and close my eyes, hearing the sounds of the piano, and I open my eyes and sing:

Standing in a crowded room and I can't see your face

Put your arms around me, tell me everything's OK

In my mind, I'm running round a cold and empty space

Just put your arms around me, tell me everything's OK

Break my bones but you won't see me fall, oh

The rising tide will rise against them all, oh

Darling, hold my hand

Oh, won't you hold my hand?

Cause I don't wanna walk on my own anymore

Won't you understand? Cause I don't wanna walk alone

I'm ready for this, there's no denying

I'm ready for this, you stop me falling

I'm ready for this, I need you all in

I'm ready for this, so darling, hold my hand

Soul is like a melting pot when you're not next to me

Tell me that you've got me and you're never gonna leave
