"Morning, Kelsey."
"Aghhhh!" I really hadn't expected to find a teenage boy beside my Christmas tree when I got up this morning. But still, there he was, a boy I didn't know sitting there with a red bow sticking out proudly in his dark hair. He smiled at me and apologized for scaring me. It didn't help much that I was still in my pj's and had been brushing my teeth.
"I'm calling the police, now get out of my house." I knew I was under reacting but he seemed really familiar.
"But Kelsey I can't leave, Santa sent me here and said I can't leave."
"Santa? What are you talking about? Get out!"
"I can't, besides, don't you want to unwrap all of your presents?"
"What? No!" I shoved him towards the front door with little resistance, until we got to the exit. Suddenly a force pushed against me so strong, I almost fell on my bum.
"I told you I can't leave your side." I walked out, dragging him behind me. When I walked away he followed, though his feet unmoving.
"I can't be away from you further than 10 feet." He persistently told me. I slammed the door in his face and tried to walk away, until I felt the force again. This time I did fall on my bum and the boy ran in.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" He picked me off the ground and cradled me in his arms.
"Get off of me!" He gently sat me on my couch, but stood next to me. After a minute, he started to walk away from me and I held high hopes he would leave. Instead, he resumed sitting next to the tree. I calmly dialed 911.
"Kels, before you do that, will you at least read the letter Santa left you?" I rolled my eyes when he held out a red envelope. I mouthed no as a woman's voice echoed through the microphone.
"Hello, 911, what's your emergency?"
"Hello I think there's a person in my apartment. I don't think I'm in any direct danger, but still, I'm scared."
"We'll send an officer right away miss. What's the address?"
"416 Oak Drive."
"Stay there miss, the officer is on his way." Click
The boy still held the envelope, staring at me expectantly.
"I'm not going to read it."
"Please?"
"No."
He set it on my lap and stared up at me. He gave me puppy eyes, curse him. I rolled my eyes and tore open the letter.
Dear Kelsey,
Hello dear. I know you hardly believe in me anymore, but I hope this makes up for it. I'm not entirely sure how I made him, but he's not a machine. He has a heart and blood and skin. He is not entirely human though, he is exactly what you requested. I normally wouldn't make something like him, especially as a gift, but you believed in me so strongly then and have been put through so much, I feel I need to reward you now. By the way he does like you, a high school crush, but only you can make him fall in love with you. And I do have some precautions for you and him.

1. He must be within 10 feet of you at all times, unless you're in the shower, then you get 30 feet. (And don't bother trying to trick him it won't work.)
2. Don't misuse him! He won't do anything like really bad. He can do mildly bad things because that's what teens do but still, nothing that will put someone in danger!
3. He will do just about anything you want him to do, so don't be mean to him!

Alright so he is still a person(ish) and he does some bad things, like you requested. He will need a day to adjust. He's your Badboy. Merry Christmas, Kelsey
. -Santa

I looked away from the letter and eyed him curiously. I never told anyone about my Christmas wish when I was 14. I remember that wish like I made it an hour ago.
It was right after my first breakup.
Dear Santa,
Merry Christmas. I only want one thing for Christmas this year. I want a boyfriend for Christmas, not just some boy I want a boy that is good to me, and won't cheat or lie and will do anything I want. I want a bad boy... I know that's weird but I just am really attracted to that type. I wish that I could have a good Badboy, you know? Thank you for reading this. Merry Christmas. I love you Santa - Kelsey
I looked at the boy, I was the only one who saw that note. I tore it up and tossed it I'm the fire place afterward.
"What's your name?"
"Raymond Elijah Parker."
"Who sent you here?"
"Santa Clause."
"Slap yourself." Ray had his hand in the air when I shrieked at him to stop. I didn't think he would actually do it. I picked up the phone again and redialed.
"Hello, 911, what's your emergency?'
"Hi, I called earlier I'm so sorry I bothered you, it turns out an ally cat somehow got in my house and knocked over my vase and made noises. I am so sorry."
"So you are okay?"
"Yes mam and I am so, so, sorry."
"That's alright miss, have a good day." Click
"Aren't you going to open your presents?" Ray looked up at me with his puppy dog eyes. I stood up and walked to the tree, sitting beside him. I can't resist those big green eyes of his. I didn't know what to think of him, I didn't think this could be a joke. He didn't hesitate when I asked him questions and the note, no one could have known about that.
"Here open this one first." He handed me a small box. It was wrapped in red paper, with a small red bow. I shrugged, I hadn't really expected any presents that I didn't put there last night. It had a tag that said To Kelsey From Ray and Santa. I pulled the lid off and gazed into the the box, on top was a letter.
So I can make sure you always have someone to talk to, no matter where you are. - Ray
I moved the letter and saw a blue iPhone. I looked at it for a while, simply staring.
"Do you like it?"
"I love it." I don't know what came over me, but I jumped on him, wrapping my arms around him. I noticed for the first time how amazing he smelt. I really hadn't looked at Ray that much, but now I clearly saw his some what spiky black hair, dark green eyes, muscular build, his faded blue jeans, and gray tank-top. He was extremely hot and his voice, gorgeous. I pulled the bow off his head and stared at him. He handed me presents one by one and smiled largely every time I got the wrapping off of one. I had a few from my friends, some I put there and already knew what they were, and then I got to the one from my mom. I gently pulled the lid off and found a note.
To my baby girl
Hi baby, merry Christmas! I'm so sorry I wasn't there again. I wish I could've made it to all of your holidays, birthdays, concerts, recitals, everything. I'm sure you are growing up so fast, 16 already! Alright sweetheart, this gift was from our first Christmas all together and I want you to have it.
Merry Christmas baby girl, I love you.
-Mommy

I wiped at the tears that were pooling in my eyes and looked under the note. Sitting there was a heart shaped locket and an old looking key. I opened the locket and saw a picture of my mother holding me in her arms, it looked like I had been born recently. Standing beside her was my father, he had a smile on his face that I never see anymore. Now all he does is 'work', he doesn't care about me. More tears rolled down my face and I absentmindedly didn't wipe them away. Warm hands were immediately on my cheeks, stroking the tears away. I gazed in Ray's dark green irises and sniffled.
"Let me put it on you." He gently took the locket and I held my long, chestnut hair out of the way. When he clasped the chain together he hugged me from behind and held me in his warm embrace. We only met an hour ago, but I feel so comfortable, like I've known him for years. He kissed me atop my head and he stood up.
"I'm sorry to ruin this romantic moment but I haven't gone to the bathroom since last night at 11:49." I laughed and stood up, leading him to the bathroom. He apologized again and went inside. I tried to walk away and felt like I smacked into a wall, so I decided to stay as far as I could go. He finally reemerged and we walked back to the living room. As I sat down the ring of my apartments phone blared through the room. Without really thinking about it, I didn't stop Ray when he picked up the phone.
"Hello, Kelsey Evans' office.
I'm sorry sir let me put you through to my supervisor." He held the phone out to me and I grabbed it, pulling it up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Kelsey, who was that?"
"My friend, he's actually here for Christmas." I told him spitefully.
"Kelsey, you know I'm working."
"Right, where are you now?"
"Japan."
"Oh okay, so is that why I got a text from you for a Kassandra to meet you in a Las Vegas casino tonight at 6?"
"What? I didn't mean to text-"
"You know dad, you could at least make sure you text the right name!" I slammed the receiver down and glared at it. Shaking my head at life I felt the couch sag a little as Ray sat next to me.
"You okay Kels?"
I nodded and leaned into him a little. He fiddled with my hair as we sat in silence. Finally Ray spoke.
"What happened to your mom?"
"Cancer, when I was two. She wrote me a letter and wrapped me a present for every occasion. My dad said there were enough for until I'm 92."
He nodded and stared at the ground. I rested my head on his chest and I could hear his heart racing, a perfect mimic of my own. Ding
I saw the phone he got me for Christmas lying on the ground about a foot away from us. I leaned over and grabbed it, almost falling off the couch. Pushing the power button I found a picture of Ray with the bow still on his head. I slid it open and got on my messages
Merry Christmas Baby!
He sent me a picture of him blowing me a kiss. I looked up and had a silly smile as I stared into his green eyes. I looked back at the screen and quickly typed back.
You too!
I noticed for the first time that he had a black phone like mine.
Kelsey, will you take me outside please?

Why? You just went to the bathroom :p

You silly girl :} I want to see the snow! I put the phone down and took his hand.
"Oh hang on." He pulled on a leather jacket that was behind the tree and handed me a sweater I had unwrapped earlier.
We ran out of the room together, not caring I was in pj's, and bolted down the stairs, we stopped on the 4th floor.
"Why did dad have to get my apartment on the top floor?" I panted. He laughed and scooped me up bridal style, he started running again as I buried my head in his neck. We stopped again and heard a loud ding. Ray climbed into the elevator and laughed his charming laugh.
"Getting tired Raymond?" I stared into his green eyes.
"Nah, just lazy." He kissed my nose, still not putting me down. Finally we reached the bottom floor and he started running through the lobby. When we got outside he kneeled and gently set me on my feet. I gazed into his eyes and smiled at the snowflakes now sticking in his hair. He sat down on the edge of the sidewalk and pulled a pack of cigarets out of his jacket. He lit one and started to put the pack back.
"Can-can I have one?"
"No way baby, this is my bad habit, not yours."
"Hmph. I'm not a little girl." I pouted.
"You're not old enough."
"You aren't either... are you?"
"Shhh." He put a finger to his lips and winked at me.
"Ahh, come on just one smoke."
"I guarantee you won't like it."
He handed me his lit one and I tried it. He was right, it was disgusting. I coughed and hacked, playful anger coming to my surface when he started laughing at me and took it back. We laughed together as I sat down beside him, resting my head on his shoulder. He fiddled with my hair again and it surprisingly didn't bother me that his smoke blew in my face.
"Merry Christmas." He whispered, gently kissing my head.
"You too, Ray." I whispered, kissing his cheek softly.
