" Please. I really want to do this. Trust me mom, dad. I'm 20 years old. I'm not a little girl anymore. I'll be fine! " I dreaded again and again.
My name is Kara Dawn Martinez. I'm 20 years old and just got a degree on Journalism. Not forgetting, I'm a huge Gooner like literally, I cannot be any prouder to be a fan of Arsenal. I got an offer for a job. Not just any job though. But for the biggest newspaper publisher in London! How could I say no to that. Studying journalism for 6 years, this is a huge oppurtunity for me. Plus, London is where Emirates Stadium is located. Which also means... I'll get to finally watch Arsenal in real life! Supporting them all the way from the north of england is quite saddening. ( Shoutout to asian fans as I hear that their quite die hard too).
" Fine. Go on. But we both are going to miss you alot , honey." My mom started to sob. This was the hardest goodbye.
" Awe shucks, mom. Please don't. I'll come back to visit every now and then. I promise ." I hugged her tightly.
< fast forward >
" Bye !" I waved goodbye as I entered the departure hall. A 1 hour flight was awaiting. How was my life going to be in London? Rented apartments, going to work alone, and maybe ... Finding romance ? No. Kara! No romances. You're going there to work! I thought.
< one and a half hours later >" Woah . Nice . " I breathed in the air of London. Amazing city. Now, I have to get to my apartment.
I took a cab from the aiport to this place called New Oxford St. It was quite modern with a tint of homeliness. I made my my way to the address stated and found a place at level 3 .
Entering a room empty, but large. I was ready. Ready to start a new life here.
