The drive had only been around fourteen minutes long, but it had felt like it had lasted forever. Sophie had chattered on the whole time about how great it was going to be.

"We're here!" Sophie whispered dreamily as we pulled into the United Center parking lot. I check the time, it was 5:55. We walked in, showed the ticket and security people my letter and tickets and they showed us to our seats. There were only two other people in the whole seating area. We had another hour to go through before the game officially started. Sophie and I started chatting, mostly about what we would do if we met the love of our life here. Mainly hers being Corey Crawford and mine being Jonathan Toews. Finally, people began crowding it and getting ready for the game. After the national anthem was sung, the players came out as the ice projections came on. Within in a couple of minutes, the game had started. In 59 seconds, Andrew Shaw had scored a goal with help from Niklas Hjalmarsson. Then Duncan Keith scored one within the next two minutes. The Sabres made a comeback towards the end of the period, tying the game by the end of the 1st period. That was okay, we would win. Buffalo had a pretty mediocre team, no match against the Blackhawks. The second period was uneventful, besides all the penalties. I smiled as the horn blew, the sign of the start of the 3rd period. I was right when I said that the Hawks were better than the Sabres because by the end of the game, we had won 6-2, with the last four goals from Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp, and Daniel Carcillo. The players skated off and went to the locker room. As fans are started leaving, a middle aged man walked toward us.

"Hello! I am Ed Blake and I work with the Blackhawks organization. If you will come with me, I can show you the locker room."

"Thanks so much! I am Emily Williams and this is Sophie Carden." He nodded to Soph and walked us to the locker room. Sophie looked at me nervously as we approached the locker room. I smiled at her. Blake opened the door for us as we stepped in. There were stalls lining the walls, the players names and numbers over the stalls.

"Blake! Not all of us are decent!" Duncan Keith shouted at him. Blake's face turned red as he ushered us outside the room before we had seen anything.

"I'm sorry about that, I should have checked. Usually they're done by this time." He apologized.

"It's okay." I looked at Sophie. Her cheeks were red.

"OKAY! We're done." Keith said through the door. I opened the door and stepped in. All of the guys were dressed and standing in the middle of room, awaiting us. Jonathan Toews stepped up.

"You probably know who I am already, but I'm Jonathan." He held out his hand. I shook it.

"I'm Emily Williams, and this is Sophie Carden." I pointed at her. Jonathan waved at her. She smiled at him.

"You're Emily Williams?" Patrick Kane looked at me. I tried to stifle a laugh.

"Yep, my name isn't Brent Seabrook." He turned a little red.

"Okay, now that was Seab's fault for writing his 1 like a 7 in the new number he gave me-"

"You guys met before?" Seabrook looked at me and smiled.

"Um, yeah, he accidentally called me and thought I was you." Seabrook laughed at Kane and then turned back to me.

"I'm Seabrook, call me Brent. Or Seabs. Or whatever funny name you think suits me." I laughed and nodded. We got introduced to the rest of the team and got to hang out and talk to the team for another hour. As the guys started leaving, to go to the party at Brent's, Sophie came up to me.

"Time to go?" She asked.

"What? Do you wanna go?" I teased her.

"Nah, just wondering because some of the guys are heading out."

"Let's stay a little while longer."

"Okay."

I stood there and watched her as she left to talk to Corey Crawford. I smiled. This would all work out.

"Hey." I turned around to see Jonathan standing behind me.

"Hi." I smiled, my blue eyes meeting his chocolate ones.

"Hey, so I was wondering if you would wanna go out for ice cream or something?" He rubbed his neck nervously. I laughed inwardly.

"Sure! Let me just text my roommate."

"Go ahead." He smiled. I took out my phone and shot Sophie a quick text even though she was right across the room. She looked over at me and smiled when she received the text.

"Okay, she knows." He grinned at me as he led me out. A burst of cold Chicago air greeted us as he held the door open for me.

"Am I your favorite player?" He asked me, eyeing my Toews jersey happily.

"Nope! I like Kane better." I told him. His face fell a little. "I'm just kidding! You've been my favorite ever since you started playing in the NHL!" He looked at me, his eyes sparkling.

"Good. I would hate for a nice girl like you to prefer Kaner over me." I stuck my tongue out at him playfully. "Even if he does have some nice shit..." He mumbled under his breath.

"Who could possibly like you better than Kaner?" I joked.

"All the single ladies!" He said. He took his car keys out of his pocket and unlocked a black Chevy Tahoe. I laughed.

He drove into the parking lot of Baskin-Robbins a couple of minutes later.

"You read my mind, I love this place!" He smiled.

"I thought you might like it, Emily." The way he said my name sent a tingling down my spine. I tried to shake off the feeling as we walked in.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"I can pay." I said, knowing he would probably insist on paying.

"I can, too." I glared at him playfully. He sent the glare right back. His mesmerizing eyes were so serious, I had to give in. "Fine. I'll have some vanilla ice cream." He flashed me a boyish grin as he payed and handed me a cone of ice cream. He had gotten a cookie dough ice cream cone. We sat down and talked for a while over our ice cream. I would say we both got to know each other really well. I checked my phone once I was done. My clock said it was 1 AM.

"What the hell..." I mumbled.

"Something wrong?" He asked, looking concerned.

"Nothing, this just the first time I've ever been out with a guy this long." His brow furrowed.

"What time is it? Do you want me to to take you home?"

"It's around 2 AM. Nah, it's okay. I can stay out a little longer." His eyes widened.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah, maybe another half an hour." He relaxed and smiled.

"Good." I smiled. This guy was amazing.

We kept on talking until around 2:45. Jonathan yawned and stretched. . I could see his abs through his shirt. Damn, he was hot. I didn't realize I was staring until cleared his throat. I shook my head, a little embarrassed. He smiled.

"Do you want to crash at my place? It's like, literally thirty seconds away." I nodded sleepily. Sophie wouldn't mind. We walked back to his car. He started the car as my eyes closed.
