Marie. I bet hearing that word you'll probably end up imagining a skinny girl with long brown curls and bangs on the side reading a book of poetry under a tree on a summer day. But this Marie wasn't like that. On a summer day you'd find Marie up on the penthouse of her apartment painting or dancing to the music of the city. (although on her "lazy days" she would simply get a bucket of ice cream, a bowl of bacon, and a can of whipped cream and put herself on the couch and have a movie marathon until she was tired of watching)
I could easily compare Marie to characters in a movie. You know those characters that run of to some place to let out some steam or to get away from life's problems? Marie was like them. The only difference is that she didn't run of to get away from life's problems but to face them. Going to the penthouse somehow gave her courage and strength. You could say that it was her place to recharge. Rest. Relax. Forget. Take it all in. Etc.
If you were to ask people who knew Marie about her they'd probably say stuff like: "Marie? She's the kindest person you'll meet." or "I don't even think she's ever even killed a bug in her life."
She was the kind of person that was always open handed. Willing to help out. Most people thought that she was like this cuz she never really experienced a legit life changing "calamity" in her life. Her life was perfect. Loving family. Lots of money. Loyal friends.
Others thought the opposite. Others thought that she was one of those who's been hurt really bad in the past and is trying to mend her scars by helping people out.
But they were all wrong. If only they knew her. Like really know her. The way I did. They'd understand. There wasn't a "mind-blowing" reason on why she was this kind of person. This kindhearted, amazing, beautiful, special, and unique person. She just was. God made her that way.
She really was perfect. Perfectly not-so-perfect. She made mistakes too. She made wrong choices. She also hurt. And she was also afriad. Very afraid.....
