Mrs.Kim is now outside Jisoo's room. She knocked on the slightly ajar door, but didn't get any answer. She knocked again, twice and then entered inside to see Jisoo sitting on her bed, her eyes blank and bloodshot red, looking at nothing in particular.

" Jisoo! " Mrs. Kim called, slowly walking towards her when Jisoo's curt voice echoed through the tense atmosphere making Mrs.Kim stop in her tracks. " Leave. I don't want anybody near me. "

Mrs. Kim resumed walking. " I will. But before I do, let me say something. " She sat down beside her. Jisoo didn't even glance at her.

" Look dear, I know you Don't like me or anyone in this family. But trust me, for me...You're not just Jennie's sister. You are my daughter too, just like her. " Mrs.Kim spoke, her voice calm.

Mrs. Kim studied Jisoo's face for any reaction, but she was blank. Still her stiff shoulders gave her away that she is listening. So Mrs. Kim decided to continue.

" What Jennie said today, the tone she used in front of you, was totally wrong. But I know she didn't mean that. "
Jisoo's eyes welled up at that as she remembered the harsh words of Jennie.

Jisoo spoke, her tone curt. " She said... I should not interfere in her family's matters. " She laughs bitterly, " I don't know when it became from our to my. Ain't I her family too? "Jisoo looked at Mrs.Kim with questioning gaze.

Before Mrs.Kim speak, Jisoo turned her gaze back ahead. " Maybe, She is right... Maybe I failed them somewhere. I never realized that the protection I gave so fiercely could feel suffocating to my siblings. " Mrs. Kim shook her head.

A lone tear slipped from Jisoo's eyes. She continued, " What am I supposed do? We didn't had parents to guide us, and I truly believed I could raise my siblings without one. I wanted to protect them from this cruel world. But now I know I was wrong. I couldn't give them what they needed... I failed them. " She closed her eyes and tears started flowing from her eyes.

Mrs. Kim immediately pulled her into an embrace, gently rubbing her back as she whispered, " Shh, don't cry. "

" You didn't failed them Jisoo. Not even a bit....You said they needed you, that you had to raise them without parents. But did you ever stop to think... You were a kid too? You needed care too? " Mrs. Kim started speaking, her tone full of kindness.

" They had you to rely on, dear- but who did you have? " Jisoo glanced at Mrs. Kim, listening to her words intently.

The flashes of her struggles to become a mafia queen and alongside keeping track on her siblings started coming in front of her eyes. How just in small age, she started to train to become a Mafia queen like her father, how she used to cry when she couldn't fulfill Jungkook's requests, how she couldn't answer Jennie's nonstop questions about her parents not being with them.

She placed her head on Mrs. Kim's shoulder, letting herself feel relaxed. Mrs.kim's words were a soothing balm to her heart. " No... You didn't fail them dear. Do you see how they have grown up? They're respectful, kind, caring and understanding-- everything a parents could hope for their children to be. Raising someone like that isn't easy, Jisoo. It takes strength... It takes courage. And you did it all on your own. " Mrs.Kim continued, gently caressing Jisoo's head.

" Jennie just doesn't want everyone to hate you. She wants all of us to live like a good family. That's why she stopped you.... I know her tone and words were wrong but they weren't meant to hurt you. Do you understand what I'm saying dear? " Mrs. Kim asked.
