The others found you not long after their talk outside. You wondered what that was all about, but figured it wasn't your place to ask. Not like you'd get an answer anyway.
It didn't take much longer for you to finish getting everything you needed. All that was left was what to fix for dinner. There wasn't anything in particular you were craving, nor were you sure who was staying for dinner.
"Toby?" You called as the man browsing different types of snacks on the shelves looked back in your direction. "Are you staying for dinner?"
"C-Can I?" He lit up at the invitation.
"No." Tim deadpanned next to you. You sent your elbow into his side.
"Of course!" You smiled and walked towards him. "Is there anything in particular you want?"
Toby hummed and tapped his chin, "Can y-you make brea-breakfast fuh-for dinner?"
Breakfast for dinner? That's not a bad idea if you were feeding multiple people. You could do that. You can't remember the last time you had breakfast for dinner.
"Yeah, I can do that." Toby let out a cheer as you all started walking to a different aisle to get the stuff you'd need. "Any particular reason?" You stopped in front of the baking aisle to grab a box of pancake mix.
"Muh-my sister and-d mom u-used to m-make it all the time." He smiled at you and placed the box in the cart. Tim and BEN are having their own conversation a bit behind you two.
"That sounds like fun. My parents and I would have it on Fridays after school as a little celebration that the week was over." Your chest felt warm thinking of the memory.
"Th-that sounds f-fun." Toby mimicked your words.
You all finished grabbing things for dinner and made your way to the front to check out. You were glad Toby showed up since there were a lot of bags to carry. Once everything was paid for and bagged, the four of you walked back out into the snow and made your way back home.

"Dinner is ready." You called to the living room where Toby and BEN sat. Tim stayed in the kitchen, helping where he could. You finished plating everyone's plates with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and some fruit. There wasn't a table you could all sit at, so you all piled up on the couch, eating and telling jokes as some show played on the television for background noise. It felt. . . nice and weirdly domestic. What decisions led to this moment? Where a hitman, a ghost, and a classmate were eating breakfast late at night on your dorm room couch.
You glanced at the time on the phone. The semester officially starts tomorrow, and you need to map out your schedule. "I'm going to head to my room for the night. I need to get some stuff done before tomorrow." The couch lightly creaked as you stood up and stretched. "You guys are welcome to sleep here, but if the RA knocks on the door, go jump out the window or something."
The corners of your lips twitched as Toby laughed. You stepped over BEN's legs that were under your blanket and perched up on your coffee table. Before leaving, you pushed his feet off the furniture. He gave you a look but moved his feet anyway. You waved to your guests and made your way to your room, making sure to lock the door behind you. While you trusted your friends, you felt the need to lock it.
You changed into some comfortable clothes for bed, thinking of your schedule in your head, mumbling to yourself in the process.
"So, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are statistics and art history back-to-back, and economics in the afternoon. Tuesday and Thursdays are history literature early in the morning and geology after lunch." You trailed off, planning the rest of the week as you sat at your desk to open your laptop.
