Sally wasn't stupid. She might have been young, but she saw things, understood things, better than most people gave her credit for.
She knew what Masky did when he left the house during the day. She knew he wasn't just "Tim," the quiet, awkward guy who hung around her new friend. He was something else entirely. And now that she knew Y/N and had spent time with her, it was starting to bother her.
At first, she thought EJ was messing with her when he brought up Y/N. Teasing her. Trying to get her to engage more. But then he suggested she meet the girl, just once.
Adults always stressed her out. They came with questions, always trying to fix things.
"Where are your parents?" "Are you hurt?" "Let me take you to the police."
Y/N didn't do that. Sure, she asked once, maybe twice, but when Sally gave a vague answer, Y/N let it go. She didn't push. She didn't try to force her into something she wasn't ready for.
EJ had told her that it was normal.
So she believed him.
And then... the topic was dropped.
She liked that. Y/N treated her like a person, not a problem.
Which was exactly why she was pissed off now.
The front door shut with a muffled thunk. Two voices followed—her cue.
Sally jumped down from her bed and stormed out of her room, eyes locking with Masky and Hoodie in the hallway. Masky had his mask pushed back on his head, so she could see the slightly guilty look on his face.
Good. He knew what this was about.
"I need to talk to you," she said firmly, pointing at him.
Hoodie nodded silently and kept walking down the hall, leaving them alone.
"What are your plans with Y/N?" she asked. "Are you going to kill her?"
Masky leaned back against the wall, hands in his pockets. "Nope."
Sally squinted at him. "No? Like, no, you're not killing her? Or no, you're not sure?"
"No. I'm not killing her," he repeated, almost amused.
That caught her off guard. She blinked. "Okay... so... what is your plan then?"
He shrugged. "I don't have one."
She stared at him as he pulled his mask back into place and started walking past her. "You might want to ask Jeff and BEN what their intentions are," he added before disappearing around the corner.
Jeff and BEN?
How the hell did he know they were visiting her?
Sally's face darkened with suspicion, and without hesitation, she stomped down the hall to the living room, where the two were exactly where she expected them, sitting on the floor, mashing buttons on a video game controller like their lives depended on it.

"Thanks again for everything," you said, walking side by side with Tim after your last class. You'd run into each other just outside the building and fell into step together.
"It's nothing," he replied. "Don't worry about it."
"But the medicine, the soup, like, let me Venmo you or something. That stuff's not cheap."
Tim just shook his head. "Seriously. Don't worry about it."
(He didn't mention that it wasn't his money. Slender covered proxy expenses anyway.)
You scrolled through your phone. "Do you have any plans for the rest of the day?"
"Not really. You?"
You glanced at a text notification from Jeff and nearly jumped. "Shit- I gotta clean my dorm!"
Tim blinked. "Why? What happened?"
You picked up your pace. "Some friends are coming over. Kind of last-minute. One of them comes to work a lot and... I sort of almost killed him once. Long story."
Tim raised a brow but followed you into your dorm anyway.
He watched as you rushed around, tossing clothes into a basket and trying to tidy the room in a hurry. "You just got over being sick. Should you be running around like that?"
"I'll be fine," you said, disappearing into the laundry room and starting the washer. "Anyway, would you want to stay? We're probably just playing games."
Tim hesitated.
He didn't love video games like BEN and Jeff did, but staying meant keeping an eye on things. And on them.
"Yeah, I'll stay."
You smiled and started flipping through your game selection. Nothing too exciting, but hopefully, your chaotic guests will bring something better.
A knock at the door made you jump.
You opened it to see Jeff and BEN, both wearing sunglasses, and Jeff with a surgical mask on. You burst out laughing.
"You two look so dumb."
"Shut up before I kill you," Jeff muttered.
"Charming." You stepped aside to let them in, already bracing yourself for whatever chaos was about to unfold. "Guys, this is Tim. He's in one of my classes. Tim, meet Jeff and BEN."
Tim stood. You didn't miss the way the air shifted.
Jeff's jaw dropped behind the mask. "Mask- Tim!? What the fuck are you doing here?"
You turned sharply. "Wait- you know him?"
Tim, with the most unapologetic smirk you'd ever seen, sat back down. "Never seen them before in my life."
Liar.
Jeff muttered something under his breath but let it go. "Whatever, man-whore. I'll remind you who I am when I beat your ass in Mario Kart."
You perked up. "Oh, you brought Mario Kart? Thank God."
Jeff grumbled and threw the controller, badly, at your head. Tim caught it effortlessly and handed it to you.
"Thanks," you said with a grin.
Everyone picked characters: Jeff as Bowser, BEN as Link, Tim as Shy Guy, and you as Yoshi. BEN won rock-paper-scissors and, of course, chose Rainbow Road after you commented that only crazy people choose that map.
"You would pick Rainbow Road," you muttered.
"I picked it because you pointed it out," BEN shot back.
"Sure, buddy."
The game started.
Three brutal laps later, Jeff was shouting profanities as his character fell off the edge for the eighth time.
"How the fuck is she in first?" he bellowed. "Someone get a blue shell!"
"You can't just ask for one," Tim said, lightly kicking him, causing Jeff to drive straight off the track again.
You and Tim laughed. BEN smirked. Jeff fumed.
You crossed the finish line first. BEN got second. Tim snagged fourth.
Jeff? Ninth.
"REMATCH!" he yelled, slamming the controller.
"Bring it on!" you said. "Easy win!"
You spent the next ten rounds getting obliterated, placing no higher than sixth.
Totally worth it.
