6:00PM
Madeline frowned at another tablecloth with a coffee spill. She looks down at her watch. 6:00PM. She looks up at the clock on the wall. 6:01PM. $2000 to go. Slowly, slowly. Madeline folds up the table cloth. She goes into the back room, putting it in the pile with the old plastic sign 'Dirty' and taking one from the 'Clean' pile. "Ey, Mads! We got some customers. Hurry up!" one of the cooks called. She rolled her eyes. 'Mads' was not a favourite nickname, but work had to be done. She practised her smile that she always had to wear when waiting tables and took out her notepad and pencil from the pocket in the black apron.
Joshua sits in his pick-up, dirving through a small ass Texas down, singing music on the country station. The song, "People are Crazy" plays. Stopping at a cafe, walking in to get a meal before heading out again. Sitting down, he looks around. Noticing many people, he stares down waiting for a waitress. Staring at the table, twirling his finger around the table in indescribable patterns.
"May I take your order, sir?" Madeline asked politely, voice higher than usual, like everytime she was talking to a customer.
"Oh, yes. Can I get a coffee and the porkchop dinner? Also some water on the side of you don't mind.", Joshua said with a sort of monotone.
She quickly scribbled down the order on the paper before asking, "Is that all?"
"Yes'm"
Madeline nodded once before continuing to get the rest of the orders. Heading towards the kitchen, she glanced towards the clock again. 6:30PM.
"Julia, I'm off. Someone else should be coming to take my place." The woman leaned back around the corner, giving her a glare with beady eyes.
"Yeah, but you'll be coming back to catch up tomorrow, ahkays?"
"Mhm." Madeline walked out of the kitchen, letting the door swing back, before sitting outside on the curb. I damn well hope they haven't forgotten about me. She thought, watching the cars pass by with boredom.
Joshua ate the food with fast, quick chews. Sipping his coffee, he payed for the meal and walked out. Stepping outside the door, his footsteps making rather loud steps on the cocnrete, he lights up a cigarette. Taking long drags, he looks up at the slightly cloudy sky, fixing his eyes on the stars.
6:04PM
Aleks steps out of the locker room, and wipes the sweat off his brow with a small towel. It's 6:15 and the after school workouts have ended. He goes to his car, a Jeep, before a friend, Todd, walks over.
"Hey man, can you give me a ride home?"
"Of course. You live down Mattlock right?"
"Yeah. Thanks Aleks." The entire ride consists of small talk and normal friendly gossip. Aleks turns down a small one way road, as a shortcut. They're joking around as a song comes on the radio, Todd starts singing along, eventually Aleks joins in. Suddenly, Aleks swerves left, they run something, or someone, over. They get out of the car and see a human figure lying on the ground. "Oh god, did we just..." Says Todd.
"Call an ambulance!" Aleks repeats
"Dude, he's dead. We could get charged for manslaughter, and you could get a long time in jail for this! We've got to leave him." said Todd, obviously freaking out.
"We can't just leave him man, that's not right..."
"Look, your jeep is fine... And he looks like he was dying before we hit him... Oh my god, what's wrong with him?"
"Well, we just hit him with my fucking car for one."
"Whatever... We've got to get out of here."

Детектив / ТриллерCoarse Language. An RP rather than a story, so it'll be a bit hard to follow at times, but I think it'll turn out alright. I've written Madeline's parts. Aleks (Kas) and Joshua (Bales) are my buddy ol' pals. If you'd like to RP sometime, message me...
