The Last Hug

Part 4

"Tarun.. Please can you take me back to home??.. I need to rush please.." I said in a trembling voice.
" What happened Shubhi? Is everything all right? Please tell me i am getting worried now." He said with a concern on his face.

He was looking in my eyes and i was too sad because i forgot about my sweet little child. How could i be so mean. She must be waiting for me and i was here with my first love enjoying crispy. I felt too guilty for whatever i did today.

I asked Tarun ," please take me back now i will tell you later everything. " He asked Manoj Bhaiya to take us to my home. In the car i was just worried about Taru that she must be alone what she was doing. And why didn't she called me. Then i took out my mobile to dial her babysitter's number. But i was again disappointed because my smart phone's battery was only 1% and as soon as i opened the contact line. My phone went off.

Tarun was just looking at me. And i was too worried to notice him. He said," Shubhi please calm down. " he placed his hands on mine. And i said ,"I am a bad mother, how could i forget about my child."

"Shubhi..don't worry dear we are reaching there soon. Your husband must be at home right". I was stunned at his words.. I kept quite.

Then i asked him curiously ," Are you married? " He remained silent and he was looking behind the glasses of car window. I said ,"Tarun.. ???? " .He said," yes Shubhi say.. what happened??" . I again asked the same question," Tarun are you married?".

He was lost in his thought for a while and said," umm yes Shubhi, I am married." After listening to his last words don't know why but tears came in my eyes. I looked on the other side and cried silently. Just because his last lines cut my heart deeply. Since i remembered the day when he said he will never ever marry to anyone but now he is here. And i am here sitting beside someone's husband who was my everything. Who used to be my life my love. My day started on his name
and night used to end on him.

We both remained silent after that.The silence was really killing me and it was increasing my pain and finally i spoke ," Thanks.." . He asked," For what? " . "For nothing" i smiled weakly to hide my pain.

Sir we have reached ma'am's home. I opened the doors of the car and ran towards the door. I press the door bell again and again. And it was opened by Nitin. I was too shocked to see him here. But all i asked him was ,"where is Taru??. Is she alright? She must be mad at me " i said with tears in my eyes.

Then Nitin said calmly,"Shubhi!! Please calm down. She is absolutely alright and she was angry at you but i told her that you were busy at work and i took her out to dinner. So just don't worry she is happy now sleeping in her room".

"Ohh.. Thanks a lot Nitin. " i said with a little relief on my face. "But when did you came here and why..?". I asked him.

"Actually i had seen you both in the parking, and i knew about your promise to Taru so i immediately took the permission to leave from boss and i came here." He said enthusiastically. "By the way.. You finally got your lost love back. I am really happy for you?? " He said by nudging me from his elbows.

"Awww.. You are really my best buddy ever." I hugged him cheerfully.

Because of all this i forgot that someone was standing in front of my home. I went outside and asked Tarun to come inside.

He came in. And sat on the sofa beside Nitin. Tarun was looking really upset . I saw that from his face. I could still see some pain in his eyes. But i don't know for what the pain was there. He is living a very successful life. He got everything whatever he wanted in his life. He got name and fame everything even he got married too which was not in his plans. But its ok.

He looked at me in search of some answers i can see many questions in his eyes. Then i spoke finally to break this awkward silence. " Tarun.. meet my husband Nitin". And Nitin ,"This is my old friend Tarun".

Nitin was looking too shocked at my last spoken words. He was like what the hell is happening here. He looked at me in disbelief.

Tarun shaked hands with him and said," you both are a cute couple.. May god bless you both". He was looking so very upset. There were tears in his eyes. But he was controlling them as far as he can he smiled to hide his pain but i know him well.

My heart was sanking inside. I can never see tears in his eyes or see him upset. So i excused them and said," You guys continue your talks i am going to make coffee for you both". And i went in the kitchen.

I cried like hell in the kitchen while making coffee. I felt too bad for whatever is happening.

Suddenly i heard the voice of Nitin ," Shubhi are you mad.? What the hell you did today? Why did you lie to him about us are you seriously out of your mind? He said almost shouting.

"Yaar..I am really sorry Nitin but i was hopeless.I didn't know what to say." I said while wiping out my tears.

As soon as he heard my voice he put his hands on my shoulders and turned me and said ," Look Shubhi.. I am sorry for shouting at you. First of all stop crying and listen to me carefully . You love him like anything i can see that in your eyes . I know you better than anyone else in this world. But you have to tell him the truth and why did you lie to him when you finally got him why are you letting him go? "
