Senior year. Those two words alone were enough to make many want to either go into hiding or jump for joy. As for me, I couldn't be happier it was finally Senior year, just one more year until complete freedom. Or so I thought...
"Alright, first order of business! Eric Porter."
I scoffed, pushing up my glasses, causing Virginia, the captain of our Chess Club to look straight at me, "Have something to say already, Julianne?"
"Yeah, I do. What does he have to do with chess? He's just some overrated asshole who gets a kick out of sleeping with and making every girl cry. Next topic please." The last thing I wanted to do was get on Virginia's bad side, but the very last thing I wanted to do was talk about the grade-a jerk.
"Well then it's settled! Julianne will carry out the task of destroying Eric Porter! For showing such enthusiasm!"
I gave her a blank stare, "What?"
"It seems that Eric has gotten tired, or rather, has ran out of cheerleaders, dancers, or whatever to go after. He's going after girls like us now." She pointed at a girl two seats away from me, Gloria, who I hadn't noticed had puffy eyes and a pile of tissues surrounding her. "I can say we all agree on the fact that Eric deserves to be taught a lesson, and now more than ever. The moment he decided to mess with one of us, he messed with all of us."
I scrunched my nose at her choice of words, "Okay, but where do I come in?"
"Oh so eager! Well, we decided it would be best to pull a classic on him: one of us, or in this case you, will make him fall in love and then snap! Eric Porter will be no more." I looked down at her hands, which had broken a couple of pencils in the heat of the moment.
"Me? You want me to make him fall in love with me?"
"Yes. Julianne, you'd be perfect! You're the one who seems to hate him the most out of all of us, which is saying something! There is no way this can backfire like those cheesy movies, there's no way you'd fall for him. Besides, that guy is a jerk in and out of school, it's been proven."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had planned on spending my senior year preparing for college, not this. "I can't, I got SAT and ACT and-"
"Julianne, you got the highest scores at our school. Now, will you do this for the sake of us 'nerds' or not?" Great, no pressure there.
I looked over at poor Gloria. She was the kindest, sweetest girl you could ever possibly meet, and now look at her. As her pleading, heartbroken eyes looked at me, I knew what I had to do. I sighed, "Well who's going to show me what to do, you guys? I'm sorry, and no offense intended, but we're all a bunch of what Virginia just said: nerds!"
Virginia smiled at me evilly, "That's what your other group of friends is for."

"Hey! My favorite nerd!" I looked over to see Cameron, our school's star soccer player walk over and lean against my locker.
I rolled my eyes, "Oh gee, don't I feel lucky."
He flashed me a smile, "Oh you should! Today was the day I was supposed to go stop at Taylor Yang's locker, but I came to see y o u."
"Oh shucks! I think I might just faint!" I said with excessive, sarcastic enthusiasm. "What do you need?"
He rubbed the back of his neck as if this had been the first time I caught him trying to be all sweet before asking a favor. "Help me study for my Stat test?" That's right, Mr. Star Soccer Player was taking Statistics when he was only supposed to be taking Pre-Cal, thanks to me.
As I was about to simply agree like I always do, a ding went off in my head. "Alright Mr. Brandt, but this time, you have to do something for me in return."
He raised an eyebrow at me, "Hmm, does the good girl want to turn bad?" He wiggled his eyebrows as I rolled my eyes once again and began walking to class, him walking right next to me since we had it together.
"Actually, yes." And then I told him about the plan to destroy Eric Porter.
He sat down at his usual place, next to me, and gave me a look like I had just been declared mentally insane. "And you want me to help you?"
I simply nodded. "You and him are both on the soccer team, why not? Pleaseeee?" I tried to do that thing where girls get whatever they want with those ridiculous puppy dog eyes, but it only earned me a laugh.
"Alright Peters. I'll help you out. I owe you my whole high school year existence anyway, but never do that face again." I smiled contently. My puppy eyes may not have come out like I wanted them to, but at least they worked.
I looked up at the table full of girls in front of us, and for a moment, I was beyond scared for my life. About 50% of the school's girl population wanted to get with Cameron, if not more. There was just something about his hypnotizing blue eyes and adorable short curls. Or, that's how the girls put it anyway. Just as I was about to be swallowed whole, my view was blocked by a familiar tall figure. I look up to see the oh so famous piercing white, bleached hair and Cameron's competition of blue eyes that belonged to Brennen Davis, THE trackstar. Soon after, he was followed by four other guys, and the girls almost fell over.
Cameron looked me up and down and then gave me a wink, "Well, you're going to need a bit more help if you ask me." And with that spectacularly nice remark, he turned to the group of five guys in front of us, "Hey guys, wanna help me unnerd the nerd?"
