Chapter 5

Night of the banquet, Ash's POV

I'm getting ready. I have to say, I look pretty damn nice. If I do say so myself. I have a tux on with a blue bow tie. I fix the bow tie and I'm ready to go.

Of course I know where Serena's kingdom is. I've been there. The kingdom is really beautiful. I figure myself out and start walking.

I walk by the pizza place that has the brick wall I lean on. Then I walk by the jewelry store. Then I stop, I look into all the amazing necklaces and diamond rings. I think to myself, someday I'm going find the love of my life. I'm going to have money. I'm going to be married. That ring is one I will buy.

I shake off my thoughts and keep going. For some weird reason I passed all the stores that had everything I wanted. It's probably just my hobo feels. I'm not a full hobo. I don't have the beards. 

I keep walking until I hear some super loud thunder. Then BOOM, CRACK, SMASH! Well we all know whats coming up next. Lightning. Oh great I'm going to have to walk even faster than I  usually do. Then I suddenly see a bolt of light right in front of me then another one next to me. I quickly walk into a 7/11. I sit there a little dumbfounded on what to do. Then I ask the worker what time it is. He says its 6:45pm.

Oh my gosh I only have 15 minutes to get to Serena's house. I jump out the door hoping for the rain to pass. It didn't of course, but the thunder and lightning stopped. I start to run really fast in the direction of Serena's house. Now it is really pouring hard. I can barely see more than 15 feet in front of me. I hear a faint voice in the distant. The voice I hear was a girls voice. She was calling my name, saying it was Serena. This must mean I'm pretty close to the castle entrance

Buckets of water are falling from me, on to the ground. I can't see anything. I can kinda see a gate to a castle. I keep hearing Serena's voice calling me to come over. I yell that I'm here and I'm trailing her voice. She keeps me in touch for walking to her. I hear more thunder. then Serena's voice is right in front of me about 20 feet away. I run at her as fast as I can. I wrap my arms around her she does too.

"I have finally found you, thank goodness." I say and wrap my arms around her for a hug. "You are finally safe with me." she says. Serena grabs me into a deeper hug. We are both standing there hugging each other in the pouring rain. We both are soaking wet. We both look up at each other. We lock eyes and just stare what feels like forever. She doesn't care. I don't care. I look at her. She leans in very slowly, tilts her head. I close not knowing what to feel. I feel a pair of sweet lips lock on to mine. I finally give in and return the kiss. We are just there, kissing for about 20 seconds. Serena pulls back and says, "I'm really sorry, I shouldn't of done that. we have to get to the banquet."

She starts to pull away and starts to walk into the castle.  She looks a like she just had mixed emotions. I hear her whisper, "Why did I do that.."

As Serena is walking away I grab her arm, she turns around in disbelief and says "What?" Not knowing what to say, I simply blurt out. "I love you."
