Hero In Training

Chapter 7

"You're my trainer? Are you kidding me?" I said upset.

"What's wrong with me being your trainer?" Jacob said.

"So many reasons."

I had so many things in my head. He is so serious, I don't know how he could have friends, if he even has any. I wish I was never a hero all of this stuff could have never happen.

" I'm guessing ya guys already met?" Sarah said.

"Yup on the ship ride here." Jacob said.

"Ok brother I'll be leaving, bye Alex." She said leaving

"Ok first thing first, what power have you figure out first?" Jacob asked

We'll you already know because you were telling me about everything yesterday on the plane ride.

"Uh freezing stuff." I said annoyed

"Ok get on the blue mat." He said pointing to it.

Oh no I'm gonna stand in the danger zone. I don't want to get burn up or blown up, but I did as I was told.

"Ok then freeze me." Jacob said

"Wait you want me to freeze you? Are you kidding or something?" I said surprised

"Just do it. Come on."

I closed my eyes and straight my hand. I was scared that he would die or something. I wasn't going to be responsible.

"Open your eyes and do it." He said. "Your not gonna fight with your eyes close are you?"

I still had my eyes closed but, some noise was weird it didn't sound like it was in the training room. It sounded like paper.

I open my eyes

"Is there paper in here?" I asked Jacob

"Uh like worksheets?" He asked

"Ya like paper being cut or something."

"Nope just weapons."

"I hear paper." I said

"You have the ability to hear far. You can hear things miles from here." He said. "You just figure out your next power."

"That's awesome." I whispered to my self.

"Ok so just try to concentrate and focus on the target."

I was exhausted of training. I been training for 3 hours non-stop.

As I concerted on the target, I tried trying to freeze it. So far I have froze everything besides the target, which is pretty horrible.

"You know what how about we stop and go eat lunch. It's lunch time anyways." Jacob said

"Finally I'm so exhausted." I said falling and lying  on the floor.

"Cone on Alex get up." He said offering me his hand

"No I got it. Hero's can get up them selfs can they." I said declining his offer

"Not all the time. Follow me I'll show you the way to lunch." He said

"Lead the way."
