Chapter 5: The Great Deku Tree

There he was... Wilted and empty... The little Kokiri were playing around him and having fun but there was something missing from all of this... That kid... Mido! Where is he? I walked to the entrance of the area to get to the Deku Tree and Mido wasn't there... What had happened? I looked around the rest of the area and everything was there but it wasn't the same... The place where I first got the Kokiri sword was there but when I went inside, The place was bigger and the place where the rock kept on rolling around was a deep hole and there was nothing but a little island in the middle... I exited the area and went on the bridge to pass through the lost woods to go to the Hyrule Castle. I walked passed and there were so many memories... Saria wasn't there and all I saw in the corner were about 10 Skull Kid huddled over together trying to do something. As I exited the area, An immediate feeling shot straight to my gut. I saw the light and there it was... The little town that I always stayed at and played around with... The dead soldier in the alleyway was still there but he wasn't decomposed at all. I thought since that the Happy Mask Salesman was around these parts, He would be there. Sure enough he was! I walked into the store and he knew who I was as soon as I came in. "So Link... You have come back! But for what reason?" I had to think for a response but I just blurted out what had first came in my mind. "I need your help... If anybody knows what going on, It's you." He gave me a look but his smile stayed. "Why is it that you only come to me when you need help?" I gave him a look back. "Termina..." His look he began to give me faded. "I see... Well it looks as if I owe you then..." He Took a deep breath and finally started to talk. "It is true that you are dead. I followed you along your way when you were walking in the lost woods. You fell into an endless pit until 3 months later you actually fell to your death. I followed behind you but I had a different way of coming down. I saw you on the floor lying there along with the Skull Kid. He had my mask that I had lost long ago. I set all of it up. The Deku mask I put on you. It was originally the butlers son as he did not do as he was told. So he had to pay the price." I stood in silence and thinking that he was a beast. "Why did you do that? Was it for your own amusement?" His smile turned into a grin. "The masks have overwhelming power but the ones you have are ones that I wanted but you got lucky to get before I did. The Fierce Deity Mask was actually the beginning of the end of you. You turned just as bad as Majora... Turning yourself into the puppet you think is a "Hero"... Unbelievable..." I couldn't believe what I had just heard... I'm dead and it's all because of some sicko wanted some entertainment...
