 Samantha

I am such a lucky girl sharing the grey Renault Espace with, two annoying little twin sisters, and my two parents up front; who keeps arguing about which way to go. We had a long flight over to this island and this long drive does not help. I really don't understand why we have to move over here, my parents demanded me to go to this college, however to go to this college we had to move. Madison and Leanne don't know how easy they have it, their parents said they can fly over here and live on campus. Well at least we can still stay friends. “Mum how long we got left to go?” Kelly-Anne moans. “Kelly we will get there when we get there. Now stop asking,” Kelly grunts and starts to play fight with Trisha again. Gazing out through my window I see all the colours of the trees leaves. They have different reds, different yellows, some gold, different browns, and some oranges. The speed the car is going, it makes all the colours blur and it looks like a fire outside my window. “Children we are nearly here,” mum said joyfully. The first house that I can see gave me relief because I have not seen any houses for a while. The house is large and is made of grey old stone. They have a garage with a Black Porsche sitting in front of it. They have a large garden; the grass is green and healthy looking. There are two people laying on deck chairs catching the late autumn sun. The boy looks around the age of 19 to 20. He has a smooth face, sharp cheekbones and a big but sweet nose. His red hair, well red-brown hair, is cut short to his face and a piece fell into his eyes. Next to him is a girl. She has long curly hair that is all different colours, it has different shades of brown's, reds, also blonde’s. She has a heart shaped face, high cheekbones, and full killer lips. I can tell she is slim, tall and curvy. We drive pass the house, after half a mile another house came up. The stone looks newer then the last house. The lawn is well kept, and bushes line the drive way. The house looks empty, the owners must be out. Another two houses go by and finally we pull into our drive. Our large house looms over us. The stone is all different colours, there are reds, grey, and white; also a couple of black stones too. The top floor comes out more than the bottom so there is a little roof under the entire bottom of the house. The windows are double glazed and they are large with dark wooden frames. The door is also dark brown wood with a silver handle. The garage is plain white and not very active. I will give it to my parents, the house it cute but it still does not mean I want to move here. “Children we have moved all the furniture in the house already so I’m sorry but you can’t choose your rooms,” Great I had to move and I didn’t want to, but now I can’t choose my room; they better have given me a nice one. “But muuumm!” the twins moan together.

“No buts. Come on get out of the car,” Dad turns the engine of the car off and the car dies till the next time they use it. I drag myself out of the car and my feet feel like lead. My legs are so stiff it’s unbelievable. The air is so warm to say it is autumn, it feels like summer. I grab my bag from the car and head for the front door. The twins are running around the front garden like idiots they are. Like the other house we past, we also have bushes lining the drive way. Our lawn is well kept and healthy green; we also have a silver breach tree in the middle of the lawn. Mum slowly unlocks the door and it squeaks open. “Luke you have to fix this door,” Mum says crossly to dad. Dad heads into the house first and mum quickly behind. As I go to walk in the twins run in front of me and up the stairs. “Stupid girls,” I mutter. Inside the air is cooler than outside. The floor is dark wood just like the front door. There is two grand staircases on each side of the hall, both leading up to the landing. In the middle of the stairs are glass sliding doors. “WOW,” I walk over to the doors and glance out. Our huge garden meets me at the door, there is more green grass, a huge apple tree in the middle, a sofa swing, a patio dining table set; the dining table is sat on garden tiles, barbeque, and at the bottom of the garden is a fence with a gate, this leads to a massive lake. “Samantha, go find your room, it’s on the right, second door to the left, and put your bag in there. Then I will take you on a tour,” Mum comes around the corner and faces me. “Go, quickly. Go on then,” she ushers me up the stairs. I stamp up the stairs one at a time. At the top of the stairs there is a huge square with comfy chairs lining the walls and windows behind them. Now this will be a great place to sit and read my book. I walk over and look out the window in front of me. I can see the lake, and not just a bit of the lake but it stretch for miles. I go to the right corridor and the second door to the left. I hope to god that my room is not ugly or has white walls like the hall downstairs. I grab the handle on the white door twist is and push the door in inwards. “Oh my god!” It’s so beautiful. I have baby blue walls; one wall what my bed is leaning on has a tree painted on with sparkly sliver paint. I have a king size bed with a canopy going all round it. I have a lilac and white bedding with white cushions. Next to the bed on the left is a light wooden bed side table with a white lamp sat on it. I have light wood floor with a baby blue fluffy rug. On the opposite side of the room is a door, when I open the door a larger walk-in-wardrobe meets me at the other end. Next to the door is a plasma TV 46 inch that is hanging in the wall with a DVD player built in. I have white curtains on my glass doors and my window. The glass doors leads to a balcony that overlooks the lake. “Samantha are you ready?”
