Suddenly, you found yourself awoken by a familiar chill hitting your toes and escalating throughout your whole body. From this instant, you sat up quickly, staring into the darkness. Your chest heaved for a moment as if it had all scared you. As if it were a nightmare.

You clung to the fluffed blankets that nearly covered you whole. You tried to take all it's warmth but it wasn't enough for you. You wanted more and I guess three fluffed covers, a broken electric blanket, and one thin sheet wasn't enough.

How cold was it again? Below 0, was it?

You weren't used to these kinda weather conditions. It was too cold for your taste and you'd rather, at the moment that is, be in a Hawaiin hotel, cozied in a small bed and fast asleep.

Yeah, but that ain't gonna happen at the moment so you were stuck to freeze to death.

And the heaters? They didn't work very well, if at all.

As your eyes began to adjust from waking up, you glanced around and nearly forgotten where you were, was it not for a light touch to the arm. You nearly jumped from your skin, glancing over.

A chuckle echoedin the small bedroom, sounding somewhat drowsy.

"Didn't mean to scare ya" Mumbled a tired, accented voice.

You glanced over to the voice, catching a quick look at Donovan's darkened face. It was only lit by the soft moonlight.

"It's fine." You muttered through chattering teeth as you pulled the covers around you more, still sitting up.

You slowly looked back into the small area of darkness.

The man beside you rose a brow, moving a bit so he was leaning up against his elbow. He scooted his lower half closer to you, but quickly flinched away for a second.

"Why are you so damn cold??" he hissed loudly.

"I- Really dunno." You replied honestly, pulling your legs close.

He frowned, looking at you closely with a look of curiosity. He moved his hand around your area, realizing one factor that might be of the problem.

"Do you have your electric blanket on?"

"It broke."

The frown remained on Donovan's face.

There was a hesitant moment as the man stared up at you, probably in thought.

He then, after a moment, scooted close once again, shivering as he felt your coolness hit his warm body. He tried to resist the urge to pull away from the searing chills of your body.

You glanced down at him and took it in slowly as you laid fully back down. Your legs slid near his slender ones. It took a second or two before he pulled you close to him.

"I can't have you freezin' to death on me."he whispered, tucking the covers more around the two of you.

Soon enough, the both of you were entwined under the covers. Legs wrapped around one another, hands holding each, forehead against forehead.

It wasn't long before your whole body had finally met the warmth evenly. There only lingered a slight chill but it was the last thing to be thought of.

Donovan smiled a sweet smile, rubbing his forehead softly along yours.

"Just let it go." He whispered before you both sound asleep.
