CID Mumbai Office — Morning News Break
The office was buzzing with the usual hum of work when Freddy's phone buzzed loudly. Everyone's attention shifted as he glanced at the screen, his face tightening.
Freddy (in disbelief):
"Arre yaar, Amar Sharma jail mein dead ho gaya."
A hush fell over the room.
Smitha (wide-eyed):
"Woh? Sach mein? Kaise? Kab hua?"
ACP (serious tone):
"Official reports ke hisaab se, heart attack hua hai. Investigation chal rahi hai."
The news spread like wildfire. Some officers whispered, others stared at their desks, lost in thought. Purvi and Ishita were sitting side by side but looked distant — their smiles gone, eyes fixed on nothing.
Dushyant (noticing, quietly to Kavin):
"Kavi, un dono ka reaction dekha? Bilkul alag hai. Jaise unhe pata ho kuch jo baaki nahi jaante."
Kavin (nodding, frowning):
"Ha, mujhe bhi laga kuch toh hai. Purvi aur Ishita normally itne khamosh nahi hote. Kuch chhupa rahe hain."
Dushyant walked over to the sisters' table.
Dushyant (gently):
"Purvi, Ishita... tum log thik ho? News sunke kaafi shock lag raha hoga."
Ishita (forcing a small smile):
"Ha, thoda. Par hum theek hain."
Purvi (eyes still distant):
"Bas... kuch soch rahe the."
As Dushyant walked back, Kavin caught Purvi's eye briefly. There was a flicker of something unreadable — a shadow behind her calm.
The scene closes with Dushyant and Kavin exchanging a look — a silent agreement to dig deeper, while the sisters remain quietly distant, hiding something big.
[Hidden Warehouse — Night]
The dim light flickered overhead, casting long shadows across the cold concrete floor. A faint drip echoed somewhere in the vast, empty space.
Amar Sharma stood near a stack of wooden crates, his face hard and weathered but eyes sharp alive and very much breathing.
He ran a rough hand over his scarred jaw, then looked up as footsteps approached.
Voice from the shadows:
"Boss, sab confirm hai. Police ko lag raha hai ki tum jail mein mar gaye ho."
Amar (grinning coldly):
"Achha? Woh toh unki galti hai. Main marne wala nahi hoon, abhi tak."
He walked slowly towards an old table cluttered with files and weapons.
Amar:
"Yeh sab waqt ki baat hai. Jab tak main apni chal chalata hoon, yeh shehar meri hi raakh mein doobega."
He pulled out a worn photo — Amar's face softened for a brief second as he stared at it.
