His Hunger

GWYLIM'S P.O.V:

"What are you doing?" Yohann asked me kaya umikot ako. "Gusto ko lang sana ilagay to sa vase." Sabi ko sabay taas ng mga bulaklak. "I told you to throw it away." he asked. "It's gonna be fine as long as I don't touch it with my lips." I placed both silver and red flowers into the vase. "This room is too dull." I commented. "There are bats flying around. You can borrow them if you need them." He said but I shook my head. "After I kill you, I'll kill myself. Do you honestly think that I need to entertain myself further before I die?" He said. Seriously? "I just . . . want to live my life to the fullest . . . even if I die today." I said quietly. "Even if I die today . . ." he repeated.

"Listen, Jien. My strength is already . . ." bago pa nya matapos ung sinasabi nya, may narinig ako ingay sa labas. Ano yon? Agad akong hinila ni Yohann at as if on cue, bumagsak ung chandelier. May narinig kaming nabasag? "We can't stay here." sabi nya. Binuhat nya ako at saka kami lumipad.

Palaging nalingon si Yohann habang nalipad kami. He must be trying hard to erase our tracks. Mahina na sya! Dahil saken? Humigpit ung hawak ko sa leeg nya. Maya-maya pa, we landed in an abandoned church. "I will set another barrier, step inside." I went inside after Yohann ushered me. Okay. Vampire in a church? His labored breathing bothers me kaya lumapit ako. "Upo ka muna. Kukuha ako ng maiinom." pero marahas nyang inalis ang kamay ko. "Stay away from me." Nakita ko ung mga mata nya. They're glowing red. "I should have bitten you this morning, and yet I can't!" He bit his lips and he never lifted his head.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. "You are welcome to laugh at my misery." he said bitterly. "Don't look at me with those eyes of yours as though you feel sorry for my predicament." With that, he left. Napatingin ako sa pinto, bukas! Gusto kong tumakas. Pero di ko magawang magalaw ang katawan ko. I turned around slowly and take the first step. I tried. Finally, I arrived where Yohann is. Di ko alam kung anong nangyare saken pero I hugged him from behind. "What do you want?" he asked. "Yohann, can you put the chain on me once more?" Mahina kong sabi. "What do you mean?" Nalaikot sya nung narinig un. "I felt uneasy without it and I'm scared of sleeping alone". I don't know but I felt relieved by looking at the chain at my hand.
