Tsurugi Kyosuke x Reader

For my first one-shot, requested by @AkaHono and @Nissnis_Lems, it will be a Tsurugi one.

You wake up to the annoying sound of your alarm clock. Great, another weekend gone and it's back to school. You stay in bed for a few minutes, trying to wake up, before finally escaping from the warm duvet. As you get up and start to wash and get dressed, you think of a particular person.

His name was Tsurugi Kyosuke, and you have a bit of a crush on him. You don't know what happened to yourself, but every time you look into his chocolate-brown eyes, your heart flutters a bit. However, you couldn't confess, as the fear of being rejected was 1 and you were pretty sure he doesn't like you, as it looks like he couldn't care about your existence. You sigh in exasperation, as you hear a knock on the door.

The knock was from Sorano Aoi, a fellow manager of the Raimon soccer club and a dear friend. Grabbing a apple from the fruit bowl and your school bag, you went to go meet her.

"Ohayo (y/n)!" Aoi says, her bright chipper voice immediately makes you feel even more awake."

"Ohayo Aoi!" You say, taking a bite of the apple and skipping in front of her "Ready to go to morning practise?" "Yeah!" She skips towards me and we both end up skipping towards the practise grounds.

"Ohayo guys!" You both say to the soccer team at the grounds.

"Ohayo!" The soccer team echo back. You look around and see Tsurugi, who was looking away. Typical. However, you look closer and see a hint of pink on his cheeks. Is he blushing? You put tat out of your mind and talk to Midori, a second-year manager. She can be pretty fierce and scary at times but it is proven that she has a soft side.

During practice, you had out your sketchbook and was ready to doodle. You love art and everyone else loves your art. Both Tenma and Tsurugi had out their avatars and was practicing mastering them. Yamana Akane, another second-year manager, came up with the idea that what if Tsurugi and Tenma made a joint avatar? Midori joked about it being a knight on a horse, so you a brilliant idea to draw what that would like. You end up drawing Tsurugi on Tenma's back, with their avatars as a knight on a white horse.

As soon as you had finished, you showed Midori your final picture and she started to laugh/start to have a breakdown. Aoi and Akane saw and they liked it, even Coach Endou smiled and said "Maybe that's what it will look like." Practise was over then and you was doing some final finishes to the picture when you felt someone in front of you.

It's Tsurugi.

"What did you draw?"

You sat there, a little shocked that he is actually speaking to someone that he never looks at, let alone speaks to. Realising that he was waiting, you muster up enough courage to hand him the sketchbook and go "here."

After studying the drawing a bit, you see what you thought you would never see in your entire lifetime. He cracked a smile and laughed.

"Wow. You're really good at art, (y/n)." He says, the smile still on his face.

"Thanks." You pray that your cheeks weren't the colour of strawberries.

"Hey, the team is going to Rairaiken tonight. Do you wanna come? Then you can show me more of your drawings."

"Yeah, okay." Is what you say out loud. Inside your head however, you mentally screamed and jumped for joy. You pack up your drawing equipment, while he patiently waited for you, and start to walk next to Tsurugi. After you left the school, you feel a hand holding yours, and looking down it was Tsurugi's hand. You look up and smile at him, showing that you didn't mind it, and he smiled back. While the others ran ahead to Rairaiken, you two stayed behind and he whispered 3 words into your ear. Three words that will stay with you forever until you die.

"I love you."
