My name is Matthew Harding. I'm 23 years old, a guy who loves singing, acting, listening to music, dancing, and also writing. I'm 6 feet tall and have blonde hair in a sort of emo style haircut as some people might say. Anyways, I'm also a person who is not very religious, which is very important to know, and this is my story of how I ended up saving the world with an unlikely friend.

It was a Saturday afternoon and my best friend; Haley Anderson and I were heading into the annual Psychic Festival, which Haley had dragged me to. You see, she is what is known as a medium, and I frankly don't believe a single word she says about that kind of stuff, I mean really? A person is able to give messages from the dead? Come on, even the most rational person would have to admit that it's not possible to do that, I mean nobody can actually communicate with spirits, and dead people. But apparently, Haley had a sort of message come through to her saying about how we needed to attend this festival thing today for some strange reason. But I just did it to humor her, not really believing that it was an actual thing. But low and behold, there was a Psychic Festival being held near where I lived, which Haley was convinced was meant to be, and I just went along with her to this random thing.

"Hey Matthew, let's go check out this Tarot Reading Booth!" Haley exclaimed in an excited voice as she dragged me with her in the direction of said location.

Once we got there, we didn't see anybody there, and so I just rolled my eyes at the empty booth, and made to leave, but a person came out of the tent from behind the booth and smiled at us.

"I see, you two made the decision to come here, thank you, it's been really slow here today for some reason, my name is Jason, so which of you would like to ask a question and get answers?" the teenage boy asked us, who by the way didn't look older than maybe 20.

Haley pushed me forward suddenly and motioned to Jason that it was apparently me, who wanted to get answers. I just rolled my eyes at her antics and smiled at the boy in front of me.

"I guess I will be the one doing the questions, though personally I don't know what to ask, can't you just give a random reading?" I said humoring the kid in front of me with a sarcastic tone of voice.

The guy; Jason just smiled at me, and nodded. Then he sat down and motioned for me to sit down opposite of him. So I sat down and waited for some kind of instructions of ritualistic things or something.

"So...your name is Matthew right?" Jason asked me.

I immediately was wary of hearing that the kid knew my name.

"How do you know my name man?" I said defensively.

Jason just smiled at me.

"Just a lucky guess, I'm gifted with the ability to get names from certain people who are...gifted." Jason explained as though I would understand a word of what he was saying.

"Right...okay well what do the cards say?" I said mocking him and his so called abilities.

Jason just continued smiling at me with a slight smirk on his face.

"Well let's see what they say about you why don't we?" He said as he reached for his deck of cards in front of him.

As soon as I saw Jason touch the cards I felt a jolt of something go through me, and I swore I heard a high pitched ringing in my ears. I shifted uncomfortably, and Jason noticed my shifting as did Haley and both looked at me with a look of confusion on their faces.

"What's wrong?" Jason said as he noticed me moving around on the chair.

"Did you both hear something ringing?" Haley asked me and Jason.

Immediately I looked at my best friend with wide eyes in shock.

"I suspect something is here with us." Jason said solemnly as he shuffled the deck of cards in front of me and laid down three cards in front of him face up.

"I agree." Haley said nodding at Jason.

"Whatever, just read the stupid cards." I muttered under my breath.

Jason just looked at the cards and then looked at me with a piercing gaze.

"Well the cards are really interesting today for you for some reason...first is the Eight of Fire, which says; 'Events moving at a fast pace. Delays are over. Many things happening at once.' Next is the Ace of Water which says 'Falling in love or the resurgence of a relationship. Spiritual growth and enhanced intuition. A new home.' And finally I drew the Page of Water, which says; 'A new person enters your life. A relationship begins a new phase. Heightened psychic abilities.' From what I can gather, a new being is going to enter your life rather quickly, and you are developing some enhanced psychic abilities of your own."

Haley then gasped and she pointed at me, or rather behind me. I turned around only to see...nothing except the regular site, people walking all around the place and some talking to other people, and then I spotted something...I saw a small white orb of glowing light all the way on the other side of the field somehow, and then blinked my eyes, and then it was gone from my sight.

"Did you see that?" Haley said excitedly to me.

I turned around and nodded at her still in shock at seeing such a weird site. I turned and noticed that Jason was gone and came out of the tent carrying something that looked like a small stone of a light blue sort of sky-blue coloring. In his hand and he handed it to me.

"It's a crystal, it's known as angelite, I have a feeling you are going to need it soon. So take it." Jason said putting it in my hand and folding my hand over the small stone.

"We should get going back to home Haley." I said as I eyed the kid who gave me the stone.

"But Matthew...we should look for-"

"No. I don't care whatever it is, you can go look for it, but I want to go home. Now."

Haley just sighed and groaned at me.

"Fine, but we are looking for it, got it?"

"Yeah, sure thing, let's just go home." I said.

And with that, we left Jason and the Psychic Festival not knowing we were being watched from afar...
