Chapter 25

August 2nd

This morning, Nico and I ended up sleeping in. Our schedule was clear for the day anyway, so we didn't bother setting any alarms. I laid there with my sleeping angel's head still laying on my chest. I had no desire to wake him up, Nico was not a morning person at all. He wasn't as bad on days he knew he had to be up early, however today was not one of those days. I was slowly stroking his slender back, thinking that I would be spending the rest of my life with the man I loved. Yesterday, I was so glad he took me up to the mic with him. Him holding my hand while he read off the list of names meant more to me than he knew. I knew my baby cared about me, but doing that showed how much he really thought about my wellbeing. Yes, I wept on the stage like a baby, but I had my Nico beside making my feel better. It must have been another hour before Nico started to stir.

"Um, that feels nice, don't stop."

I kept stroking his back as he still laid there. We laid there a little while longer, Nico enjoying the embrace. He finally lifted his head off my chest and slid his body up me so were face to face. He gave me my morning kiss.

"Morning sunshine."

"Morning darkness. I was starting to think you were going to sleep all day."

"Not all day, just most of it," Nico replied.

"Are you ready to get up? We need to go help Piper get the amphitheater ready for tomorrow."

"I suppose," He said, "I was really enjoying you stroking my back."

We got up and headed to the bathroom. My Nico showered beside me as he had been doing. We scrubbed each other's backs like we normally do. Then we got out, dried off, and got dressed. We both dressed in our normal day off attire, only opting for boat shoes instead of flip flops. When we were finally ready, we made our way out of the cabin and headed to the dining pavilion. It was almost lunch time and we were both starving. A hungry Nico, is an angry Nico. Thank the Gods today was all you can eat taco day. I think Nico ate six tacos, I don't know how he stayed so skinny eating as much as he did. After we ate, we headed over to the amphitheater. Piper and most of the Aphrodite cabin were there, busy decorating.

Piper walked over to us. "What are you guys doing here? I told you, we got this."

"Are you sure Pipes? We can help finish decorating."

"No," Piper replied, "we got this covered. You guys go off and enjoy the rest of the day. I'll stop over at your cabin tomorrow morning around 10am to get you ready for the wedding."

Each of us hugged Piper. Then, not really sure what to do with the rest of our day, I decided we were going to the beach. We stopped back by the Hades cabin this time and I grabbed two towels. We made our way through the woods and headed to the beach. We found a spot far away from anyone else. I didn't give Nico time to object today, I stripped down to my undies and jumped it the water. He stood on the shore just watching me in awe. After a few minutes he followed suite and jumped in the water as well. He didn't go too far out in the water, he just waded in the shallower part. We played in the ocean for the rest of the afternoon. I was just glad to see my baby having fun. He tried dunking me a few times, but he failed. I ended up throwing him under the water and got cussed out in return. As dinner time approached, we got out of the water and dried off. I was not wearing soaked undies to dinner so I changed right on the beach. Nico wasn't that willing, so I held a towel around him as he changed. I was actually still shocked that he got in the ocean at all.

We made our way back to the dining pavilion, taking out usual seats at the Apollo table. Tonight we were dining on stuffed chicken breasts. We made our sacrifice, then enjoyed the rest of our dinner. Deciding to skip the camp fire tonight, we just headed back to our cabin. I had borrowed 'Divergent' from one of my siblings so we could watch it. Nico loved reading the book, so I knew he would love to watch it. When we got back to the cabin, I put the movie in, and we curled up on the couch. My baby laid in front of me with my arm wrapped around him. We watched the movie without talking. At some point my hand worked its way under his shirt, rubbing my lovers taught stomach. When the movie was over, Nico kissed me and we got ready for bed. After our night time routine, we both crawled in bed. Tonight, I curled up to my baby, resting my head on his shoulder. I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good night, darkness."

"Good night, sunshine."

I fell asleep holding the man that would soon be my husband. Tomorrow would bring the happiest day of my life.
