5~ Dress Shopping

A Month Later
I woke up in excitement. Today is the day Tony would return home from the war. I got up and got dressed. I ate breakfast and finished getting ready. I went downstairs.

"What are you so happy about?" Dad said laughing

"Tony comes home today." I said

"Well you have work." Dad said

"Dad!" I whined

"Go to work. You have to be there in 5 minutes or your fired." Dad said

I got in my car and drove to the office. I parked and went up to my desk. Reid and Penelope were over by his desk.

"Why are you happy? You're never this happy." Penelope said

"Tony is coming home today. That means, I'm getting married in 3 days." I said

"Oh my gosh! Congrats Emily!" Penelope said

After a few hours of hard work, we took a lunch break.

"When does Tony get back to the base?" Prentiss asked

"Noon." I said

I looked at the time. 12:05. I looked at Prentiss. She had a huge smile on her face.

"Okay, what is your devious plan Prentiss?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her

"You mean my devious plan?" Dad said

"What is going on here?" I said

"Lunch is over. Back to work." Dad said

"That's cruel and unusual punishment." I said

"Sure it is!" Dad yelled before going into his office

After 30 minutes, we finally got something. I grabbed my bag and started walking. Then I stopped walking and dropped my bag. Tony was standing in front of me in his gear. I ran towards him and jumped into his arms. Tears of joy fell down my cheeks. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he lifted me off the ground. I buried my head in his shoulder as I cried.

"I love you Tony." I said

"I love you too baby." Tony whispered

We pulled away from each other. Everyone was standing behind me.

"Go home Emily. Oh and you, JJ, Prentiss and Penelope are going dress shopping after they are finished working." Dad said

I picked my my bag off the ground and slung it over my shoulder. We walked out to my car.

"I don't exactly have a car. I left it at my house. I was taken here by Sargent." Tony said

I laughed and got into the drivers seat of the car. Tony got into the passenger seat. We drove to his house.

After Shift
I drove off to the bridal shop owned by my mother's best friend. I parked in the parking lot and went inside. JJ, Penelope and Prentiss were waiting.

"Hello Emily." The owner said

"Hello Ms. Abby." I said

"Where's you mother? She on her way?" Abby asked

"No. My mother died a few years ago." I said

"Oh. I'm sorry. Well, let's get you a few dresses to try on." Abby said before walking away

Prentiss' phone buzzed.

"It's Hotch. He's calling us in." Prentiss said

"Go. All of you. It's okay." I said

They grabbed their stuff and left. I called Tony's sister, Tori. She was in the shop in 10 minutes. Abby came back with multiple dresses. I went into the fitting room with Abby and tried on a few dresses. After the third dress, tears started to fall.

"You look amazing Emily." Tori said

"I just wish my mother was here to see it." I said

Tori stood and hugged me. She pulled back.

"Is this the one or no?" Tori asked

"No. Not this one. Abby, did my mother make any of these dresses?" I asked

Abby led me back into the fitting room. She helped me out of the one I had on and helped me into a strapless long white dress with a silver belt and a thin white veil. I walked out and looked in the mirror.

"This is the one." I said

Once I was back in my regular clothes, I put the dress in he back of my car and drove home. I hid the dress in the back of my closet.
