- Ashton's POV -
We headed towards the kitchen, where all the delicious food was. I actually like Kat, like I literally thought she was an annoying wannabe or something, but no she's actually pretty awesome. I still can't believe she stood up for me like that, and she is literally the first person in years to actually accept me as a human. And she's really pretty...
"What would you like to eat Ash? My mommy made chicken and stake and I made mash potatoes and mac and cheese," she chuckled at what she made. Everything looks so good...
"Can I please have a little bit of both?" I kind of whispered.
"Speak up louder please," she teased even though I know she heard me. I smiled.
"Can I please have a little bit of both?" I said a little louder, smiling at her.
She smiled back and said, "better."
She served me then she served herself, and I waited till she was done and we went to sit down. Thankfully her and my mom were sitting across from each other, so we sat next to each other and were talking the whole entire time, well until someone interrupted us by calling out Kat's name.
"So Kat, how does it feel to finally live Australia?" Martha, one of Kat's mom's friends, asks her.
"It's pretty cool, I guess. Everyone here is pretty chill and you guys' accents are hella awesome!" she stated. Oh god... she did not just say 'hella awesome', omg.
Kat noticed my reaction to her statement, and lightly chuckled. I rolled my eyes but smiled at her.
She was about to start talking to me again but Martha interrupted her.
"Well do you like it here better, or do you miss your old house?" Martha asked.
"Well of course I miss it over there, my whole childhood memories are over there, all my friends and family, but I had to come over here. I wanted to start a new life, a new me, and this was the perfect opportunity. Plus it's always nice to explore a new place, new surroundings." Kat answered to her question honestly.
Soon enough everybody was asking her questions, and no one let me and her talk to each other. She would glance at me at times and give me an apologetic smile. I would just smile back, like if saying it was okay. I was used to it. I was always invisible to people, even to my own family. But I guess I just thought with her here, things were going to be different. I guess not...
Kat took me out of my thoughts by declaring,"well thank you everyone for coming, thank you mother for making this happen and for all the delicious food, but I am stuffed."
She dismissed herself and starting to head to the kitchen, to put her plate away, but Micheal stopped her and asked her to hang with them she said no.
"I'm gonna chill with Ashton for a bit, and unless you guys are okay for him to come and chill with y'all, I ain't hangin' with ya." she told him. I smiled but then felt bad, cause I didn't want her to forced to hang out with me. And I was about to tell her that, until Luke interrupted me.
"Yeah okay he can chill with us, I mean as long if he wants to." he surprised. Wait, what? Did he just say that?
"Well Ashton? Do you wanna hang with all of us?" Kat asked me.
I was speechless. No one had ever asked me to hang with them, since like 3rd grade.
"well?" everyone was waiting for an answer.
"I uh o-okay!" I cheered.
"Okay then that settles it, lets go play!" Calum exclaims.
"TO THE GAME ROOM!" Luke commands.
