Toxic

We were inseparable, joined at the hip
We told each other everything
What was hurting us
What made us happy

Then went dark; you went through things I couldn't even pretend to understand
But I was there for you

Sometimes you were your normal self
Other times you were a monster
And I saw the pain in your eyes and the cuts on your arms

I thought what I did helped
But I didn't know it would lose you as a friend

You said you hated me
And those words hurt more than you know
I know now that we can not be friends
Because our friendship is toxic
