"Ahh!" Lacey awoke from her nightmare. she glanced at the clock, 5:58 on a monday morning. I should have slept in those extra two minutes. Lacey knew there was no point in going back to sleep so she got up and turned off her alarm. She put on her skirt -- it was knee length and pure purle -- with a preppy top, she was a vollyball player and they had a game later that afternoon. As she was getting ready her mom came in to check on her, she liked to sleep in so her mom always made sure she woke up in time, but left without saying a word. Secretly, this made Lacey happy, she didn't want to explain her nightmare to her mom, it creeped her out a little bit.
"Goodmorning Mom!" she said speeding into the dinning room, "Almost ready to leave?" her mom had to drive her to school in the morning because the buses wouldn't come out to their house.
"Just about, let me wash out my bowl quickly and put on some shoes. You look nice today." Her mom had just finished eating a bowl of lucky charms.
"Thanks Mom, we have a game today, you comin?"
"Not today, I have an interview, the Applebees down town had an opening."
"Okay not a big deal." Lacey brushed it off not caring much -- her mom normally just yelled at the reffs the whole game anyway, and walked out to the car.
Upon ariving at the school she went straight to her locker, while she was grabbing her materials for first hour Josiah walked up behind her and wolf wistled quietly into her ear. Josiah is the typical school flirt, he dosnt play any sports but his hobbies include staring at girls, flirting with girls, and being mocked by girls. "Oh hi Josiah how may i help you this morning? If you're looking for male prostetutes you are in the wrong place I'm not so sorry to say."
"Haha very funny Lacey." he said with a playful grin. "I was actually looking for a hot, sexy woman, I guess I should keep looking." the two of them shot insults at each other untill Erick came over and stopped them.
"Excuse me Josiah but this is part of the few minutes a day I actually get to spend with my beautiful girlfriend, so if you don't mind." Erick said making it very obvious he wasn't wanted. After he walked away Erick turned to Lacey, "Happy three-month!"
"Happy-three month!" Lacey felt a little guilty, she had forgotten all about their aniversary, and was too busy thinking about Josiah, at least she looked nice.
"I know you said you didn't want a present every month but I had to get you something."
"You really didnt have to, I'm serious you make me feel guilty."
"Well dont." he said as pulled out a small package of reeses penut butter cups. "I know they're your favorite and you couldn't say no." Erick was sweet, and kind, and innocent, and totally not Lacey's type, but when he asked her out she would have felt so bad if she said no, he was her best friend after all.
She always felt horrible whenever Erick did anything for her, she only became his girlfriend cause she thought overtime feelings might develope for Erick, but so far he was only her best friend. Maybe it would work better if she could get her mind off of Josiah they could...
