Chapter 2

Lacey was walking down the hallway when one of the varsity cheerleaders cold shouldered her, hard, nocking her to the floor. Everyone around them started laughing, "Oh poor little Lacey tripped. I guess next time she'll watch where she's going."

"Cut it out Tiffany everyone knows that you tripped her. Just back off!" Lacey was surprised to find Josiah came to her rescue. Maybe it was because Tiffany was his ex-girlfriend? Or maybe he actually has feelings for her to? Lacey wasn't sure what to do, so she tried to stand up and thank JJ for helping her, but in doing so she fell to the ground. Crap! She must have rolled her ankle on the way down! How was supposed to play tonight if she couldn't even stand! Lacey knew being injured wasn't an option, her team needed her. She tried standing again, "Hold on there lioness you look injured."

Lacey smiled,"Only my pride." She said looking up into Erick's eyes, wait Erick! She had expected Josiah, damn their voices for sounding so alike! And speaking of Erick where was he when Josiah had to come to her rescue! She looked down the hallway and saw Josiah looking at them Sadly. He looked away as soon as she caught his eyes, then hurriedly walked away.

Lacey tried again to stand and felt Erick trying to help her. "Don't touch me!" She shouted at him.

"I'm just trying to help!" He shot back defensively.

"Well I don't need your help!" She stood up and tried to run away from him, but fell again.

"As I can see." Erick said and walked away.

"Go to hell." Lacey said under breath, still on the ground. Erick did not hear her.
