ELSA POV
"JACK!" I yell down the hall. "Where are the roses? I asked for 5 dozen pink roses for the royal hall. What happened to them?" He comes rushing around the corner, ribbons and decorations of all colours filling his arms, pieces falling out every which way. I can barely see his face the pile is so big.
"You ordered them 15 minutes ago!" He says, carefully toddling to a ladder with a servant on it, who proceeds to take the decorations with amazing ease. How do they do that?
"Why do they matter so much?" He asks, walking over to me, out of breath.
"Because roses are Isa's favourite flower, and they make her happy, which takes away the fear, which means Black Frost won't be here, which means everything will be fine." I say quickly.
I too am now out of breath.
"Speaking of which, Elsa," Jack says sombrely. "When are we going to tell her... About her birthday?" He whispers so the others don't hear.
There is a long pause, and I just stare into his eyes. I am transported back to times when the biggest problem was fighting over who had to feed Toothless. I remember when all I could think of was Anna, and our happy, little family. Now all I can think of is our happy, big family.
"We won't," I say, and I hear someone coming up the stairs with flowers. How do I know they have flowers? I just know. I turn and start to walk towards them.
"I really think we should, Elsa," he pauses. "For her own safety."
I turn back around. "We are not telling her," I say confidently, "because it won't happen." I put on a big smile and continue on with the food this time. Grapes, cheese and chocolate; all her favourite foods. She gets it from me. They'll be set up as snacks at the table in the ball room. The whole place will be decorated with her favourite colours: light pink, light blue, and white. Oh, it's gonna be so pretty, I can already see it. And I can already see her smiling face in front of the throne.
ISA POV
I am absent-minded as I play with my ice powers, making little detailed snowflakes all around my room. I smile as they float gracefully in the afternoon light. Drifting, drifting like my thoughts. At the end of this week, I'll be a Princess... A real Princess. Nothing in this world could stop me, not even Black Frost. Nothing in this world can stop my happiness at this point. I've learned to deal with everything in a successful, peaceful way where everybody lives, and there aren't any problems. In fact, everything seems to be going perfectly. The whole kingdom is teeming with excitement, and so am I. As far as I can see, nothing will go wrong.
BANG!
"Ah!" I exclaim. I heard it from downstairs, I hope everyone's okay. I'm gonna go check to make sure.
I run down the stairs, my shoes clicking on the polished wood. Then, I remember what Anna and Dad taught be about stairs.
Or rather... Railings.
Mom never approved...
But she's not here.
I sit on the railing and proceed to slide down. I laugh with joy, remembering when I was just a little kid and I spent hours just running around the castle, until I reach the bottom, and I am snapped back into the real world. I see two servants, Ashly and Ben, running to the ballroom. I rush after them, because they'll be going to the source of the Big Bang as well.
The doors open, and I suddenly try to contain my bubbling laughter.
It's snowing! The floor is ice, and the windows are frosted over. Icicles are hanging from pretty much everything, and Olaf's feet have been frozen to the ground, leaving him to hop off of his feet, and try to get them out of the ice with his little stick arms.
But funniest of all, is discombobulated Jack in the centre of the room, looking around, baffled, still trying to process what happened, but I see now. It's Sam and Teresa, fooling around. They have a noise maker, and are trying not to laugh, just like me.
"What happened?" Mom says, running in. She then pauses, and looks around, seeing everything. Then her, me, and everyone else except Dad start to laugh, hysterically.
"What's so funny?" He asks, but Mom's already on it. She walks over, and gives him a little kiss on the cheek and helps him up.
"Kids, my dear," she says, as the snow melts away. Sam and Teresa sneak away through the back exit, proud of their accomplishment. I'm not exactly mad at them, because it's been quite dull around here in terms of pranks. So quiet, in fact, that I thought they were done with those childish tricks.
I guess not.
And if they've started again, I'd better watch my back! No one is safe anymore! I remember when they pulled that classic flour-in-the-hair dryer trick on me, and then, for some reason... Their food was frozen for a week.
But I'm not pointing any fingers.
And since I couldn't get too involved in their lives back then, even though I did a bit, this was the perfect way to get back at them. I was always grateful for the splash of fun they put in my life when dark times came around.
I decide to stay downstairs and help out, even though I am at risk of further pranking. Luckily, though, they leave us alone for the rest of the day.
-----------
Hi! Day 1 of coronation week is done. Only 4 more days until Isa becomes Queen! How exiting! But the day after tomorrow is going to be boring since the 'suitors' are coming. Isa helped pick them, but her heart belongs to someone else... Or does it? But tomorrow, luckily, the guests from all over the world are arriving! That means everyone... And that means teaming up for pranks! Good luck to them all, and may the odds be ever in their favour. XD
Thanks for reading! :)
