About an hour later a coach came for us to take us back to the X factor house so we could pack our bags for the holiday the next day. Once we got there, the house was silent. Everyone was so busy concentrating on what to pack, making sure they had everything, making sure they had enough to last the week. Some of the girls were being really silly though, packing 4 different bikinis so they can change depending on the day or their mood. Sickening. We had to put our bags on the doorstep so they could be taken to the airport. Yes, that sounds weird but because were contestants of a show we have to get checked earlier for some reason. The perk is that we don't have to arrive 2 hours before we board the plane, and we don't have to go through security or check our bags or anything confusing, which made life a lot easier.
About an hour later Me and Safia took a quick trip to town to buy Reece a birthday present because we were going to be in the Bahamas when he turned 17. I brought him some new white converse since his old ones were looking like poo - literally the colour. Just to preserve, I got him this spray to put on so it's almost anti stains. Obviously I brought him a card and I added a top I knew he wanted from Zara. It kinda scared me that he was going to be 17 in less than a week. Even though there was only a 2 year difference, I felt like it was almost wrong because I was still in school and he was in sixth form. 17 is basically a halfway point to being 18, which is an adult more or less. I was still being seen as a kid, and I didn't want things to be seen in a different way. The main difference was the fact that I wasn't legal to, you know, do stuff. He was. I didn't want to let him down, and I knew he wasn't the kind of guy to pressure me into anything but there was going to be a point where he's ready and I'm not sure whether I'll be as well. What if he wanted to dump me because of it? I'd never forgive myself.
Once we got back, I sneaked the stuff back into our room, and Charlie helped me and Safia wrap everything.
"This is a sick top Madi" Charlie held up the top I brought Reece, turning it around in awe.
"I'd wear that if I was a guy" Safia looked at the shirt analytically whilst nodding.
"Yeah, he's been going on about it for a few weeks so I thought I might as well" I folded it up whilst charlie got wrapping paper. He put a gold strip around it before adding a little birthday tag.
"Someone's fancy" Safia nudged Charlie. He rolled his eyes at her
"My mum sent me to this 3 hour session when I was 12, teaching me how to wrap presents in different ways and how to make them look more prettier and stuff. It was so gay, but she said it was pathetic that I couldn't wrap anything so I was forced to go. My dad pissed himself when he saw me cutting the paper wrong." He shook his head and we couldn't hold the laughter in.
"A three hour course though" I took deep breaths to stop myself from getting stitches. He blushed red and smirked, standing up and walking out.
"I'll talk to you later Safia. Bye guys" he said, shutting the door behind him. I turned to look at Safia who looked a bit uneased.
"Since when have you two been talking" I asked, putting Reece's presents into a bag and leaving them in the wardrobe.
"Only a week or so" she shrugged.
"A week? So you act like I messed my life up by dating Reece but you're on it with Charlie?" I asked her. She sniggered
"It's more than "on it", like, were dating, just not exclusively. Not even his mates know about it" she looked so nervous so I lay back and decided to just leave her. I nodded instead and smiled.
"Seems alright. You two are cute anyway" I watched as her face lit up
"I hope so, I really like him" she looked up at the ceiling, closing her eyes. I'd never seen Safia as a girly girl, like emotions all over and stuff, but now I had. It was another side to her, and it was really cute.
There was a knock on the door, to whom it was Reece. Safia left us both alone and he sat next to me on the bunk.
"How you feeling?" He asked me. I nudged closer to him and smiled
"I'm good, you" he nodded lightly.
"I wanna talk to you about something" he put his arm around me and I lay on his chest. I nodded.
"Do you feel happy being with me" I looked up at his concerned face.
"Yes, of course, you make me so happy Reece why wouldn't I be" I played around with the pocket on his top.
"I'm so happy with you, but I get the age difference now I'm turning 17 next week and I want to know how you feel about it" he rubbed my back in circles - very massaging.
"I love you so 2 years doesn't bother me"
"I love you too; but are you sure, like you've not even doubted anything?"
"Do you want the truth?" I felt his heart skip a beat and his chin moved to and fro, signalling a silent yes.
"I'm still in school, you'd be in sixth form. I'm not legal, you are" I said. He sighed and sat up. I moved next to him and looked at his troubled face.
"I won't pressure you into anything, I'm not all that fussed about that side of the relationship anyway" he half smiled. I have him a side hug and kissed his cheek.
"I know you wouldn't, I feel confident with you though"
"What do you mean?" He looked at me
"Well; I can confide in you. I know you wouldn't treat me bad or anything, and I feel as if I'm ready for whatever you are, as well" I told him. He gave me a hug back and kissed my head.
"We're waiting anyways" he said, rocking me.
"My birthday's 2 weeks after yours anyway" I reminded him. He stopped.
"I guess. Anyway I don't wanna talk about that, I want to think about the holiday tomorrow. We can't let anyone know about us" he said, lying down and I lay on his chest again.
"Yeah, I don't think sitting next to each other on the plane is going to help either" he gave me sad puppy eyes which made me laugh.
"We can just say everyone else paired up or were watching something or talking about advise, something silly like that" he stuttered after almost every word, I just said okay.
"Say here with me tonight" I asked
"If you want me to, yes" he answered .
