Death...
The air around you felt heavy. But most of all you wanted to scream. You couldn't though. There was a lump in your throat that felt so big and heavy you could barely breath. Collapsing on your knees to the floor you felt a wet substance as your lungs felt the were sinking deeper into the floor with every passing second. You looked at your hands....
It was blood...
Your parents blood...
You again opened your mouth to scream... But no sound came out.
The only noise there was your small shaky, jagged breathing and the silence of death leaving you shaking and in shock.
~Time Skip~
It had been two weeks since the incident. Your parents had been murdered in your house. You were too late to do anything. The murderer left no trace but the victims. You were still somewhat mourning and depressed. But realistically, the idea of your parents getting murdered wasn't completely random. Your father was a detective, although this still hurt. Overall you've always been a strong girl. You didn't like to cry unless you were completely alone because you thought that would make you weak, ugly and pathetic. So you only cried at night over your parent's death.
Now you were standing in the street trying to sell flowers. With your parents gone, their savings wouldn't support you and the house forever. You were only 17 and already completely alone. Yet you always had a beautiful smile on. Even if you had troubles, so do others you thought.
Then one of your mother's friends was passing by and saw you standing there trying to sell the small pale blue flowers.
"Excuse me," she said as she approached.
"Lady Emily! How do you do?" You bowed quickly.
"I'm fine, thank you. You still look lovely, although I take it you aren't so well financially due to your loss. Please excuse my frankness."
"No! No, it's fine. And that is true..."
As you lowered your head and looked away she continued to look at you as if studying a rare and exquisite flower. Finally, she took your hands in hers and looked in to your eyes and said, "Recently I heard word of another Lord needing another servant."
Smiling gratefully you replied, "Thank you, I really appreciate you telling me."
You then found out it was the Lord Phantomhive, the noble who's family made toys for children and he similarly lost his parents too. You decided to go and apply. You despised the thought of him pitying you, but thought it would be nice if he could at least understand you.
~Time Skip To Next Day~
As you arrive at the Phantomhive manor you are put into sheer awe because everything is so beautifully breathtaking. You knock on the door and wait as the warm sun shines ever so gently on you. Turning around and tucking a stray strand of your (h/l)(h/c) hair behind your ear you smile yet again for believing everything will be just fine.
As you hear the door open behind you, you quickly turn around to face a stunningly handsome man. You gaze at him with surprised eyes as you are breath taken from his smooth raven black hair and enticing lovely rose red eyes. At first he looked at you with a look of unexpectedness bu quickly changed to a smile and said, "Hello, welcome to the Phantomhive manor. Is there some way I may assist you miss?"
Him speaking to you, so suddenly snapped you out of your daze and all you could manage was, " I... um... uh... Yes!"
As you tripped over your words, you mentally slapped yourself and quickly regained your composure.
