Chapter 1- Shadows

Natsu POV

"Hey Luce! Where should I put your new books?" After I said that she came running over and she grabbed them, slamming the door in my face. Ouch! What was that for!? I thought as I slowly backed away.

I wonder, whats new in town... as I thought that I felt a strong presence from outside. What the!? I ran over to where I felt the presence and only found a girl standing in the alleyway. Was it her? No, it couldn't be. I studied the girl closely. Hmm she's wearing a cloak so I can't see her face, she looks about Lucy's age, and she..... has no..... shadow. I walked back a little. Am I imagining things? She looks over at me then runs. Huh... maybe I should chase her....

Lucy POV

After I slammed the door on Natsu's face I slowly put my new books away. That baka, does he ever learn. I thought as I kept putting the books away.

*Knock Knock* "Huh? Who is it?" I asked throught the door. So help me if it's Natsu I will- "It's me." I froze from the voice. "M-Master? What is it?" I ask as I open the door.

"Come on in dearie. She won't hurt you." As master said that a hooded girl around my age entered the room. "Who is this Master?" I asked quietly.

The hooded girl turned off all of the lights and lit a candle. "Much better." She said in a quiet voice. "Now I won't get hurt."

I watched her as she took off her cloak and handed it to master. She had long black wavey hair with a tint of red and blue in it. Her eyes also sparkled with twilight blue, red, and purple. She's pretty. I thought as I looked at her. She wore a black bikini top with a short black skirt. I also noticed she wore a crown made of something with a blood-red jewel in the middle.

"My name is Princess Shadow of the Kingdom of Nythera. It is located in the Realm of Darkness as you would call it." She spoke with worry in her voice. P-Princess!? Realm of Darkness!? Just what is she!? As I screamed this in my head master explained to me that she was running from destruction of our worlds and was wanting to help us stop these, people from destroying us.

"Oh, I see." I noticed theese marks along her body. They are black with tints of white. "What are those?" I asked her.

"Those? Marks that define we are shadows. Watch." As she said that she summoned my kitchen knife and cut herself. She's just like Juvia! Her cut let out this substance she explained as shadow particles and her cut healed just like that.

"One problem is that, we can't be in the light. Or we will die." She said with a sad smile. Master then walked ober to me and asked if I can watch her.

"Ofcorse! I'd love to!" I exclaimed. Just then, Natsu broke in. He palms lit up wich lit the room. "There you are!" He roared.

"NATSU STOP!" Master and I yelled in unison. "You'll hurt her!" I said as I grabbed his arm.

Shadow POV

"Oww! Stop it hurts!" I exclaimed as the light filled the room. Is that the cherry-blossom haired guy from the ally? I wondered as I found shelter under my cloak. "Please stop, Natsu!" Lucy-onee said while pulling him back.

"Why? Just who is she?" He asked with tiredness in his voice. He chased me all the way here? Why? I then noticed him looking at me. "Plus, she has no shadow."

Lucy-nee told Natsu-nii to put out his flame, and he did. I came out of my cloak, again and asked Makorav if I could tell him. "Yes you may." He replied with a stern look twoards Natsu-nii.

After explaning to the baka named Natsu X3

"Do you now understand, Natsu-nii?" I asked him with a worried look. "Yeah, so what now little miss princess?" Grr he is just like him. "You can call me Rose. Shadow might be my real name, but people call me Rose." I told them.

"Ok then, Rose would you like to join Fairy Tail?" Makorav asked me. "Really? I can?" I asked. I don't know what to do in a guild... "Yeah! Why not?" "Come on! We can go adventuring!" Natsu-nii, Lucy-nee..... "Ok!" I awnsered.
