Chapter 3: More Than Best Friends

"I'm really proud of you standing up to Marluxia like that; you handled the situation really well." Axel stated when they entered their room.

Demyx was still getting over the fact that he did something that was spectacular and still had that 'high' feeling from his stand up to Marluxia.

"I'm just glad that it didn't turn into a fight."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah...I love you Ax."

"I love you too."

Demyx then kissed Axel and brought him over to the bed, Axel had a feeling on where this was going and he let his love guide him over to wherever he was being taken to.

Hours after they had gotten inside, Zexion found himself in his bedroom again helping out Jonearah to see color. There was a knock on his door and he went over to answer it. It was Marluxia.

"How are you feeling?" Zexion asked.

Jonearah looked over to see where Zexion was, but didn't reply; because she saw that someone was at the door.

"Can I come in?"

"You can...if there wasn't someone in here already."

"You're seeing someone?"

"I didn't say that."

"Oh...sorry."

"Why do you keep on apologizing to me, Mar? You did n--"

"I did to." Marluxia interrupted. "You're my best friend and I had treated you like dirt."

"One moment," Zexion moved away from the door and over to Jonearah. "Come back when you have any more questions...knock on my door first alright?"

"Do you two need to talk in private?"

"Yes...it's about what happened to him earlier today." Zexion stated.

"I don't have a room to stay in, where am I supposed to go?"

"I'll show you."

"Okay."

Jonearah gathered up the things that Zexion had out for her and placed them in a bag. She headed over to the door and stopped. Zexion followed her.

"Would like to come with us Mar?" Zexion asked.

"Where to?"

"To find Jonearah, here, a room. Once we come back we could talk okay."

"I'll come with."

The three of them walked in silence as they went to an empty room not far from Zexion's room. "Will this be all right for you?" Zexion asked when they reached the room.

"It's fine."

"Remember come to me if you have any questions about anything and knock first."

"Kay thanks Zexion."

"You're welcome."

Marluxia and Zexion went back to Zexion's room in silence. Zexion then let Marluxia into his room.

"Alright, now what is it?"

"I've been thinking a lot about what Demyx said..." Marluxia answered.

"About what he said recently or ever since you came back?"

"Both...I've also been thinking what you have told me...since you came back."

This sparked Zexion's interest.
