The Return of The Chaos Kin

Prologue

A cool, gentle breeze blew at the top of a small hill. Pit, the angelic hero, rested on the top of that hill, watching as the sun set. He smiled softly at the orange sky.

Its so beautiful... He thought, taking a deep breath of fresh air.

He suddenly got an idea, and sat up, looking around for something with a reflection. He saw a small body of water, and stood up, running to it. He stared into the puddle, seeing his own reflection.

"Dark Pit... I need to talk to you... Please be there..." He muttered to his reflection.

His reflection soon changed. His white clothes turned charcoal black. His brown hair turned jet black. His beautiful white wings turned into majestic black wings. His bright blue eyes were now blood red. His smile changed to a frown.

"What do you want, Pit-stain?" The reflection growled.

"Pittoo!! You need to come to this hill by Lady Palutena's temple! I need to talk to you about something important!" Pit told his doppelgänger cheerfully.

Dark Pit growled at the nickname. "Quit calling me by that awful name!" He hissed.

Pit laughed. "Fine, fine. Will you come to the hill, though? Please!!" He begged.

Dark Pit rolled his eyes. "Fiine. I have nothing better to do." He muttered.

Dark Pit soon faded away, Pit's normal reflection returning to the pool of water. He ran back to the top of the hill, sitting there and waiting patiently for his twin to arrive.

A pillar of light appeared behind Pit. He swiftly turned around to see what was happening. Leaves of all different colors floated down from the sky as Dark Pit appeared in the pillar of light. Soon, the light faded and the leaves disapeared.

Wow... Pit thought, blushing ever so slightly as he looked at his dark twin. The way the light from the sunset hit him made him look... beautiful...

I never noticed how... cute he was...

"What are you staring at?!" Dark Pit growled softly.

Pit snapped back into reality, and shook his head. "S-Sorry. I was lost in thought for a moment..." He apologized, frowning slightly.

"What did you wanna talk about? Make it quick, I don't want to waste time here." Dark Pit asked impatiently.

"O-Oh! Right! Come sit next to me and we'll just... talk..." Pit told him, patting the space next to him. Dark Pit rolled his eyes and sat next to his light doppelgänger. Pit turned and faced Dark Pit, with a tiny smile on his face.

"After the fight with Hades, I feel like the connection between us has grown stronger. I feel like we're closer to eachother than we ever were. Do you feel the same way? Do you feel a stronger connection with me?" Pit asked, a faint blush staining his cheeks.

Dark Pit's eyes widened slightly. "Now that you mention it, yes." He answered, causing Pit to blush more.

"Pittoo, I think... I... Um..." Pit stammered. Dark Pit rolled his eyes.

"Spit it out you idiot!" Dark Pit yelled.

"I-I think I love you!" Pit blurted out. Dark Pit jumped a little at the word love. Pit brought his knees to his chest, curling up into a ball.

"No response, huh? I get it... I just made everything awkward... I-I'm sorry..." Pit muttered, small tears forming in his eyes.

"Pit..."

Pit looked up at Dark Pit, only to be kissed by him as he did. Pit's entire face was bright crimson.

"You didn't make anything awkward... Don't be sorry... I love you, too." Dark Pit told him with a small, rare smile.

Pit felt his heart leap out of his chest as he saw Dark Pit smile. He hugged him tightly. Dark Pit pulled Pit into his lap, letting him sit there as the two watched the sun set and the moon rise.
